    I got a named instance of SQLEXPRESS here.. I can connect to it using the sql server managment studio.. had to unlock it though using sqlsac before it was usefull (tcpip/named pipes from off to on)

  • Database wants to point to my documents!

    I don't want no stinking sqlexpress.. have Yukon... so it made a named instance called 'sqlexpress' but NO SQL Agent.. I guess I have to run the server install again and maybe it will pick it up.. don't see how to add it manually.. My problem is I"ve loaded the photo album starter.. runs ok in the visual studio ide' so I copied using the wizard to an IIS5.1 virtual directory... now no matter what I do the databases still point to 'my documents' folder.. tried the sseutil to detach the databases even

  • Installation Order

    Whew.. 3 DVD's ... which to install first.. It would appear that VS2005 and then SQL SVR 2005, as the builds call SQLSVR Express (MSDE) (installed sqlsvr 2005 first) and now express seems broken.. oh well another 4 hours to unistall and then reinstall. And of course, being a SQL newbie the new managment tools (gui's) don't seem to fit the pattern of the older SQLSvr2K management tools.. so for me even changing the 'sa' password is difficult. Oh for the flat file days.. Now everyone wants to use a

    It would be nice if the 'goodies' that were included in the 'express' packages were also available in the 'team system' or seperately..

    Since there is nothing called a dumb question.. I'm about to ask this.. If one has Visual Studio 2005 Team System B2 does one also need Visual Web Developer 2005 Express? Or is it already part of Visual Studio 2005 Team System
