• Quite working with nested application

  My dynamic data website worked just fine until I added a nested application. In other words I have a folder with-in my dynamic data website and that is a web application as well. Now, my tables will not show in the default.aspx of the main web application. Anyone know what is causing this ?

  One thing to keep in mind is that the DynamicData website is new to me, and I do not know about everyone else but when I dig down into the new stuff after a couple of days my brain turns to mush and everything is everyone elses fault .... ;) The more that I worked with it the more I really working with the dynamicdata. It is with out a doubt the best thing since slice bread when it comes to admin pages. I have always struggled with wireing up all those dropdownlist controls to their fk_ tables. "

  Don't get me wrong I really like all the hard work that you guys put into helping us and the DynamicData websites. I was just a little testy trying to get use to the model. i just wish there was an easier way to access the datatable, and not just the attributes of the table. Like, column properties, and not the column data. You do realize that it is posiable to asscess tables in a global fashion but not the data. That .FindControl is ok in some cases;however, most of my applications are complex

• How to get value from a fieldtemplate from with-in other fieldtemplate

  I need to access a datacontrol of a field template from with-in another field template. I have a custom FileUpload fieldtemplate with works great for the inserts; however, for the Updates I need to delete the old fileName off of the file system. What is so strange is that we have all this great access to all these great metatables, metacolumn, and the are worthless for trying to retrieve data ! I can get my tables by their names but i cannot get the data... What in the world is going on ? How to

  Glad that I could have been some help ! ;) Oh by the way, Dyanmic Data Freaking ROCKS ! I have spent quite a bit of time with it over the last week, and I am just now starting to get the deal. What a great back-end time saver. My database are normalized and dynamic data make product input so much easier than it use to be. That use to be the part I dissliked the most when developing a project. What a great time saver!

  How do we register for events using Dynamic Data ? I am tring to reg for the Gridview1_OnDeleting event and I set a break point, but NADA.... How do we handle events ?

  I am able to do direct insert into this table from the SQL Management Studio This is a freaky .net ISSue that I cannot solve. I have delete the entire project and started a new one under a different name and it still does this.
