  • Re: Update Challenge

I'm not sure if this is what you need, but here it is: [OptimisticConcurrencyException: Row not found or changed.] System.Data.DLinq.ChangeProcessor.ThrowOptimisticConcurrencyException(List`1 failedUpdates, Int32 totalUpdatesAttempted) +171 System.Data.DLinq.ChangeProcessor.SubmitChanges(ConflictMode failureMode) +522 System.Data.DLinq.DataContext.SubmitChanges(ConflictMode failureMode) +229 System.Data.DLinq.DataContext.SubmitChanges() +6 Customer.Update(Customer original_x, Customer x) in c:\Inetpub

  • Update Challenge

First let me say that I am impressed with Blinq. I am haveing a bit of a problem, and perhaps it's due to my lack of Linq understanding. When I attempt to update a row I always get the error System.Data.DLinq.OptimisticConcurrencyException: Row not found or changed" This test database is not being used by any other application, and I even attempted to modify the UpdateCheck property of the ColumnAttribute to never, same result. Thanks

  • Re: Trying to install DNN 4.0.1 on a Shared Host....Having a problem that I cannot resolve

Are we making any "any" progress on this issue? I am having this same install issue and for the life of me I can't figure it out. I have 4.02 running fine on my development machine, but not on CT. I have set the trust parameter "every which way but loose", so to speak, with no luck.

  • Re: DNN 4.0 Trust level

I am yet another with this security problem on CrystalTech attempting to run DNN 4.0. I have been reading through the posts and reviewing the DNN bug list, where this issue is mentioned as being resolved in 4.0.1. It would appear that 4.0.1 is not yet available, so what have others done to resolve/circumvent this problem?

  • Re: SQl Server 2005 Connection Error!!!

I too am having this problem and I have used the Surface Area Configuration to set: "Allow both local and remote connections" and to use both TCP/IP and NamedPipes. I've recycled the engine and I am still receiveing the error: SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

Thanks Geert. Sometimes it scares me to think about how much I don't know regarding dnn administration. Edward

  • Site Log Purge

I have seen a lot of threads regarding the Site Log, although I have not seen this question addressed. I have my site log history set for 3 days at present, and the buffer set to 1. From the reporting standpoint this seems to cover it, however the site log table appears to contain "all" of the records for the past couple of months. I was under the impression that history would be automatically purged, but that does not seem to be the case. Am I missing something or is this a process that I must do

  • Re: Setup new users requireing password upgrade

Thank you Cathal. I downloaded the module and it appears to do the trick. I can import all of my customers, generate random passwords and the import sends the emails. Solves one problem, now several more to tackle. Thanks again. Edward

  • Setup new users requireing password upgrade

This may be a strange question; I plan to mass import into the database all of my customers, however the customers passwords will need to be either generated or left empty. The idea would be one of two concepts. First, if the password is left blank (or set to some static value), ideally the user would be forced on initial logon to modify the password. I assume this would require code modifications somewhere. Has anyone done this? The second method would be to random generate the passwords and mass
