  • Re: Should I go to DNN 3.2 or 4.0?

Quick related question I am finding 3.1 stable and fast and a handful of reliable modules installed; Are there any security ('critical updates' to borrow a phrase) or performance tweaks for > 3.1? Thanks, / Steven

  • Re: Hardcode page name or tab ID in skin?

PageTitle is under /DesktopModules, the install zip is in the same folder (noting that its a skinobject not a module) Steve

  • Re: Relative Font Sizes

Just an opinion... There is a built in mechanism on the users browser for this purpose. If your visitor is used to viewing large text im sure they have found this setting and have set it accordingly. Im not dissin Skinergy it's very clever, just thinking out loud. Also, if you set your fonts to use percentages instead of point size then your text is free to expand with the users own browser preference. Causes a headache for designers i know but if its of no concern to you, then you fix the size.

  • Re: Betreft: Re: Betreft: Re: Betreft: menu, breadcrumbs, help!

What you can do is create a root level page that is set (during set up or by editing page settings) to link to an existing child (of home) page. This then gives the visitor two ways to reach the same page and you still maintain your child and breadcrumb link. Regards, Steven

  • Re: Static SOLPART Menu for design purposes

If you add two LINKS skin objects (id' diferently) set one to root only and the other to child, clicking admin (or host) at root will display the children on a 'blank' page. Your portal admin skin will need to be 'this skin If your only after Host>Skins or something then add your local page to your favourites :) If you need help building the links mechanism I have some code handy for the skin.xml etc, just ask and ill post it. If your uploading a skin file i guess your working with ascx so you

  • Re: Looking for page rating and a discussion module

Both are similar to an articles module I am using which allows comment and ratings. I guess all I really desire is a module similar to the core discussions module but smarter. A forum is feasible but seems a rather heavy solution and yet another theme to create. Thanks for the suggestions. Steven

Nice and clean skin, like the container too (the metalic-ish silver one)

  • Re: Multiple Stylesheets for Menu

You could make a copy of the .Sub_Menu css class, rename it .Main_Menu2 (or something) Then edit the skin.xml to set the CssClass for [SOLPARTMENU:1] to the above. You will need to reparse the skin for the change to take affect (and possibly clear your browser temp files (skin.css) and dnn cache). Perhaps search the dnn forums for 'skin.xml' if you need more information about using it or maybe I can help you further. /> Steven
