Re: DotNetNuke and the web server in Visual Web Developer Express
As I mentioned earlier I don't have IIS. Can I start DotNetNuke from within VWD? How would I go about doing that?

Re: DotNetNuke and the web server in Visual Web Developer Express
Thanks, but how do I go about doing that? I'm trying to follow the installation instructions ("DotNetNuke Installation Guide.doc") and it says to: "2. In a local intranet configuration, create a Virtual Directory in IIS called DotNetNuke that points to this physical directory. Make sure that Default.aspx is defined as a default document for this Virtual Directory." As that statement applies to IIS, how do I achieve the equivalent with the web server in Visual Web Developer?

DotNetNuke and the web server in Visual Web Developer Express
I would like to use DotNetNuke with the web server included in Visual Web Developer Express. All of the installation documentation that I have been able to find refers to IIS. I don't have IIS installed in my computer and I'd much rather work with the web server in Visual Web Developer Express. What do I have to do to get DotNetNuke to work with it?

What not to attempt with DotNetNuke
I am just starting to get familiar with DotNetNuke, and to my inexperienced eye it seems extremely flexible. So I wonder, are there any types of web applications for which DotNetNuke would not be appropriate?

Re: aspnet_Roles Table Not Getting Populated
Hopefully the following steps will help you reproduce the problem (I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition Beta 2). Note: I am using Firefox version 1.0.3 with the ieview extension installed (Version 0.87). I am running Windows 2000 with SP4 installed. I started from scratch and created a new Personal Web Site by going into File/New/Web Site... I used the dialog to create a new folder for the Personal Web Site, selected Personal Web Site Starter Kit from the list of templates, and clicked

Re: aspnet_Roles Table Not Getting Populated
It turned out to be that the Personal Site Starter Kit doesn't play nice with Firefox. I switched to IE and the aspnet_Roles Table got populated.
