Re: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory.
If I seem a bit terse it is because I typed all of this in once then the site lost all of the data because the the paste text didn't work right. I tried to paste this in acode block but did not see anyway to accompish that. I tried to upload a file but couldn't do that either. I tried to paste a screen shot of the project open in VS but the paste from word did not work. I will describe the set up in words. I have a web app. It is aanIIS web app. The virtual directory was set to run directly

Re: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory.
I see you moved my reply to a new thread. However, you kept it in the same forum. "Getting Started" I agree the question does seem somewhat advanced for a getting starting forum. Which one would you have suggested. As I was replying to a thread rather than initiating one I did not pick the forum. Have you noticed that you are more likely to get a response when you piggyback on someone else's thread that you are when you create your own? I have very many threads that I have created that

Re: Error reading from SQL server Databse
I agree. But having said that, then what is the issue and how does one resolve it? It does not seem logical that HasRows is true when there are no rows. Update: 11/19/2009 Turns out suneeshnair was right. The If dr.HasRows does apparently move to the end of the cursor as when that was removed, everything worked right. huh.

Re: "Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory."
Application ran but designer file was not updated when web form changed. No error given warning provided Generation of designer file failed: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory. Discussed Causes 1. There is no theme directory and no css files. 2. HTML looks just fine. Orignally page rendered exactly that way. 3. No global aSAX in project. 4. No "webinfo" files in project. 5 No Server.Transfer in project. 6. Parent path is enable in IIS. 7. No error in generated in event

Re: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory.
1. Jeff you are a nitwit. How do you think people got to this thread in the first place. Either "Lead, follow or get out of the way." 2. I've been to the other thread and every single suggestion and solution was not applicable to this situation. 3. With regards to being people's code. This occurred when dropping and dragging controls onto blank web form. So there is no code of mine involved. Only Microsoft's. 4. So if it is not too much trouble, a little assistance on what is

Re: vs 2005 has an "icon editor" ?!
So in actuality I can not use the VS 2005 icon editor to edit the gifs this project uses as Icons.

Re: Writing Straight XML to Page Without XSLT
shouldn't the for next loop in the Function Transform for each paramname in xslparamnames xslargs.addparam(paramname, nothing, xslparamvalues(counter)) next paramname increment the counter before running addparam for the next paramname? You are getting the param value from an array xslparamvalues that corresponds to the names in the xslparamnames array. The way it is now counter is always zero.
