  • Re: Beta 2 Simple Password issue

Yeah...I was actively checking My MSDN Universal Account all day friday and saturday for the drop....I think most developers are all over beta 2, like a fat kids love chocolate cake. The only problem I'm running into is that there is still a ton of stuff not working right in beta 2 and the response I'm getting from the forums is....its still in beta and should be fixed by RTM....sigh.

On the ASP.NET Configuration tool I no longer have access to the "Profiles Tab" I believe I have enabled profiles correctly in my web.config file posted below. How can I configure the profile settings for my application and users? Seeing how its april and Beta 2 is no where in sight, do I have to revert to the PDC build? I've tried to add in the following lines of code but they aren't allowed by the schemas published by Microsoft..atleast not

  • Re: LoginName and Profile properties

I'm a beginner at understanding ASP.NET 2.0...but I'm learning quickly This new control model is confusing coming from an ASP1.0 world... So what files do I need to create to create this login control. I was messing around with this walkthrough over here: http://winfx.msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dv_aspnetctrlauth/html/6d90782a-a1a4-45a6-b2d4-cf6362b83b08.asp But in regards to simply formating the user's loginname to something like their "Full Name" I'm confused as to
