Re: Chosing a host for DotNetNuke
CrystalTech web hosting. They have automated installs from their control center. Prices are right as well.

Re: DNN 4.0 Trust level
Charles, here is the error I get when I fix the other parts you mention. I have given the application full user permissions, so I am not sure why it is doing this. Error: Server Error in '/' Application. Security Exception Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file. Exception Details: System

Re: HELP !! : Problem with login after upgrade from 3.1.1 to 3.2
Yes sir. Copied that and the install date as advised in the Install guide. That is what puzzled me. I mean this site does not have a lot up there yet, but everytime I go to upgrade goosedesign.com, this happens. So this will be the last upgrade for me on this one. Once I get it to 4.0 I will be happy. Until then 3.2 is my poison.

Re: HELP !! : Problem with login after upgrade from 3.1.1 to 3.2
I am in the same boat as you Stefano. It has only happened to 1 out of the 3 I upgraded, but something is definitely wrong. I just hope I do not have re-install everything.

DNN 4.0 Trust level
First off, I just wanted say thank you to the core team for 3.2 and 4.0. Though I run accross problems when new releases come out all the time, I still love the product in the end. With that said, I must ask a very serious security question: What does DNN 4.0 need full trust to run? Most shared hosts use Medium trust levels and impersonation to get around the asp.net security issues in shared hosting environments. By overriding the machine.config to allow a site to run at full trust, the site has

3.1 -> 3.2 Upgrade: Users cannot login after upgrade
I just upgraded one of my 3.1.x sites to 3.2.0, followed the instructions to a T. But now I cannot login with any of my users. I made sure the Machine Keys were the same as the old web.config, but this is not working. I have upgraded 2 other sites without incident. Man, this is becoming a pain in the ***. First 4.0 won't run in medium trust and now this one. Please help if you can.

Re: DNN4.0.0 bombed on medium trust
cnurse, Please see post: http://forums.asp.net/1105912/ShowPost.aspx This will be the next error this person encounters when they remove the compiler options. I posted this last night and still have failed to get a reply from anyone on this matter. I am stoked to use it, and I know CrystalTech wants to get it into their automated install in their control center, but as of right now no CrystalTech customer can install 4.0. 3.2 works like a charm. Thanks for any help that you can provide.
