  • Re: Modify User Registration Form

Hi Arif Can't remember exactly where but find the .net code for the registration page, and add visible="false" to the text fields you want to hide. If you let me know which fields you weant removed from a standard DNN installation I'll show you the code exactly.

  • Thank you, & Deploying to a DNN (Virtual) Sub Directory

Hi there Thanks to everyone who helped me get my Intranet up and running again yesterday after I incorrectly modified web.config Well back to the drawing board, except this time I won't do anything to my web.config without checking here first. I have a problem deploying a seperate .net app I've built as it needs to be in a (virtual) subdirectory of our Intranet application which is running dotnetnuke. The new application is reading the dotnetnuke web.config file as well as it's own, which is causing

  • Re: Web.config changes killed my site, Help!

DeveloperMCDBA I took your advice exactly, but with the new version I'm still getting the same errors. I changed the siteSQL string to match my DB, but the errors seem to relate to something else. Could this be something to do with IIS, the fact that I created and then deleted a Virtual Directory as a subfolder of the DNN VDir?

  • Re: Web.config changes killed my site, Help!

sorry about the huge post Thanks alot guys, I've totally backed everything up now, but I'm reluctant to overwrite the whole site, is this the only way to get to the bottom of this. Bear in mind it was working perfectly, then I backed up web.config and changed the original. Site errored out, so I just replaced the modified web.config with the backed up copy. The error messages I get change each time I hit refresh... for example: Configuration Error Description: An error occurred during the processing

  • Web.config changes killed my site, Help!

Hi there, please help I've got DNN 3.0.13 installed, I just added some settings to the web.config file (location specific) and it's killed the site. All sorts of 'Access Denied' woes. So I put the backup back, so the web.config is exactly how it was originally, but errors continue. Any Ideas? I hope I havent killed 'cause I'll be in big trouble :(

  • web.config for applications in subdirectory

Hi There I've just completed and tested one of my first .net applications, and have uploaded it to our production server, which is running an Intranet based on DotNetNuke. Unfortunately my application needs to be in a subdirectory of the DNN application, so when I try to run my application it is failing as it's using the DotNetNuke web.config. As I'm sure you can understand, as a novice I don't want to touch the DNN web.config as it's a beast to me, is it possible for me to tell my app to only use

  • Rotate the logo image [LOGO]

Hi there I running DNN 3.0.13, which I have to say is fantastic, thanks so much to all involved! Anyway, I've modified the layout quite extensively by editing the relevent .htm file in the skin directory and parsing the skin. (Intranet, but will send screenshots if anyones interested). It all works brilliantly, I and my hospital coleagues absolutely love it! I basically modified the tables, and now the [LOGO] token sits in a cell the full width for a nice header graphic, but I really want to rotate

  • Re: VSLAB PROXY - Web Developer Feb 2005 Corrupt?

Hi I had a similar problem too (on Win2K), I uninstalled ALL .NET applications, then ALL .NET frameworks -STILL- the same problem! Being an SQL AD. at a large hospital I'm lucky enough to be able to grab a new machine just like that, so I did. And on a clean install of Win2K (following SP4 and IE6 SP1 updates) I finally got VWD Feb CTP to install perfectly. And I am very glad I did as it's considerably more stable that either VWD B1 or VS 2005 December 04 CTP! If you can get a clean OS go for it
  • Installing Visual Web Developer February CTP

Hi I have uninstalled VWD Beta 1 and the .NET framework. When I try to install the Beta 2 (Feb CTP) it fails to install the framework, then skips the installation of VWD. Is there anything I need to do other than uninstall the previous versions of VWD and the Framework? Thank you Alice
