Sv: Re: Sv: Re: Active Directory for new versions?
Thank you for the answer. I thought I done all that... "Go to Admin/Site Settings page and change Logon page back to default DNN logon page" - I changed to no page at all and that seemed to work. I don't have a page in the Admin-menu called Authentication. I have the Authentication-page that I created before the upgrade and I don't know how to move it? I still get this error...I am off course doing the upgrade on a backup copy of the real site but I can't upgrade the production site before this is

Sv: Re: Active Directory for new versions?
Hello! I've upgraded from 3.1 and I had Tam's AD-authentication-modules installed. Now I get The default authentication provider specified in web.config is not configured properly. Authentication settings are disabled. on the authentication page and I can't change anything there. How can I fix this?? I followed the steps to uninstall Tam's modules before the upgrade and I use the release config-settings for authentication. Please help! Ylva

Error message when trying to configure authentication
Hello! I have used Tams windows authentication before and when I upgrade I get: The default authentication provider specified in web.config is not configured properly. Authentication settings are disabled. on the authentication module. I have followed the steps recommended by Tam to remove the old modules. My authentication page is not under Admin because I had it under another page and I don't want everyone to authenticate - just the people that changes the pages... Help! Ylva

Re: The DotNetNuke 3.1.1 Release!
OK - I don't have Beyond compare but I cut - pasted everything I changed (I hope) and did the upgrade. I have not been able to look at the System logg before because of the bug in 3.1 but now after the upgrade I looked and I've got 4 pages with General Exception-errors! Is this normal? How do I know if something is wrong?? ylva

Re: The DotNetNuke 3.1.1 Release!
But my question was if it was OK to not use the release.config at all - just my old web.config from 3.1? Do I have to cut and paste into the new web.config or is the old one OK? Thank you! Ylva

Re: The DotNetNuke 3.1.1 Release!
Hello! I unzipped the files over a 3.1-installation, keeping the web.config from the 3.1-version. All looks well. Is it OK to do this with our production web too? regards Ylva

Re: Backup-restore-question
Hello! Thank you for the answer but that does not work. Everything still point to the old URL. If I try to login I login to the real site not to the backup-site. Is there any other step I have to take or is it not possible to move everything this way? regards Ylva

Backup-restore-question
Hello! I have a 3.013-site that I have been working on and now I thought I should look at how to restore my website if anything goes wrong. I thougth it would be good to make a restore and then first upgrade the backup-site to 3.1. So I restored the database to another server, made a new website and copied the files from the web-directory. I changed the connection-string in web-config and thought I was ready. When I try to browse the backup-web in my browser it shows the original web instead. I suppose
