Re: Failed on installing .net Framework 3.5
That's actually starting to sound like a good idea by this point - if it works (which it hopefully will), tell me and I might try.
Yes, this has worked fine for me. A bit extreme but should definitely solve the problem once and for all. No previous versions or CTPs or betas to conflict with the RTM.

Re: Failed on installing .net Framework 3.5
After other problems trying to install 2008 I've decided on a complete PC rebuild. If you're like me and have installed various betas, CTPs, plugins etc, I think it's best just to "bite the bullet" and go from afresh if you're having install problems.

Vsiaul Studio 2008 Package Load Failure
Hi guys, I'm getting a lot of "Package Load Failure" errors when starting up: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u217/troyhunt/1.png http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u217/troyhunt/2.png http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u217/troyhunt/3.png I've now uninstalled and reinstalled six seperate times following all Scott Guthrie's steps and removing every possible trace of previous betas from folders and registry. I'm also finding none of the references load in any of the projects

Re: Error Installing vs2008 on a pretty fresh install (Team Systems Edition)
Same thing happened to me, I just installed the framework directly from the redistributable first then the VS installer skips this step. You'll find the dotNetFx35setup.exe file in the WCU\dotNetFramework of the 08 package.

UpdatePanel renders a gap when content visibility turned off
I'm having a problem with my UpdatePanel which is causing a gap to be rendered when the contents are turned off. This is happening when I have three HTML elements (i.e. tables or layers) with the middle one hidden by default but contained in an UpdatePanel. Everything looks great when it is turned on by a control trigger but a gap appears when it is turned off. It looks like even though the layer is hidden there is still content rendered within it to cause the gap. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
