Re: Problem using Access data source query builder
The solution was to repair my Windows XP MDAC. I used a great, free utility found at: http://www.macropool.com/en/download/repair_mdac.html Bob

Re: Problem using Access data source query builder
I removed and completely reinstalled Office 2003 Pro and reapplied all available office updates. I also ran the component checker against MDAC 2.8 and all reported no conflicts. No joy. More ideas? Bob

Problem using Access data source query builder
Just removed and reloaded VWD 2005 Express Beta 2. Tried to use an Access data source. Dragged to the page. Entered the address of the access database. On next page, blank queriy boxes. clicked on query builder. Got error message that had "MIcrosoft Visual Studio" in the title bar. Message says: Retrieving the COM class factory for component w/ CLSID {c8b522d0-5cf3-11ce-ade5-00aa0044773d} failed w/ Hresult: 0x80040154 (class not registered...) Suggestions? Bob Alston

How to define a three level data selection
Need to figure out how to do a three level data selection The tutorial at this link Lesson 07: Databinding to user interface controls - it is near the end of the lesson http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/beta2/multimedia/default.aspx#learnvwd shows how to use a grid with select and a form display(forget which object but one that shows one table row at a time). I need to do this with two data grids - customer data grid- then project data grid- then detail records (multiple) for the selected project

Re: Info on using superexpert add-on controls - dataform and superdatagrid
On second try I got the dataform to work - but for adding records only. The text for the control says: "automatically save the contents of a form to a database table, update database records, and display records in a page". Can't see any built in ability to do retrieval and edits. Am I missing something? Bob

Info on using superexpert add-on controls - dataform and superdatagrid
Can someone tell me the details of what I need to do to utilize the Super Expert add-on controls? I have successfully downloaded them from the add-ons area (nice group of add-ons) and gotten them added to my tool box. Initially I tried the dataform. I dragged it onto my page. I also dragged onto the page an Acccess table. Then I copied the connection property from what was auto generated. I also filled in the Table name field. What else do I need to do??? Bob

Re: Could not determine which columns uniquely identify the rows for
Sorry my wording was not clear enough. The table does have a primary key. And it is just a single table. Bob

Could not determine which columns uniquely identify the rows for
MS Visual Studio 2003. Data Adapter Configuration Wizard for ODBCDataAdapter. Trying to access an Access 2003 database table. Using a SystemDSN definition. The table being accessed DOES have a key, which is an autonumbered field. How come? Bob
