  Any resolution on this yet? I have been stuggleing with this issue for a few hours and can't seem to resolve it. I too am using a domian account and IIS and VS are fighting each other during compliation. The worked fine for weeks until today. After a reboot this morning it started happening.

  What you want to do is not use a masterpage at all. Do the same thing with a regular page and use an IFrame in it. Have the menu "set the url" in the IFrame. This wouldn't even need asp.net or ajax.

  You can add WebInputButton to the list of broken controls. I don't know how Infragistics claims to be Atlas compatible when every control I've tried doens't work in the most basic of situations.I too have logged several problems with them. If anyone finds out how to make these controls work, or if Telerik's controls work, please let me know.

• UpdatePanel "Unknown Error" message when using an Infragistics WebTab control

  I am using the June CTP and a "Unknown Error" message pops up when using an UpdatePanel on a page that contains an Infragistics WebTab control. I have logged this issue with them, but it may be some time before they can get the issue resolved. The problem is that this is a showstopper for an app I'm writing that must be deployed yesterday. I know javascript, but I'm certainly no expert, and I'd like to attempt to debug this myself. I have a button on the page that is inside an updatepanel and it

  Rodney, I don't think you can change the "type" as the moduledefinition control is not a module and is part of the core. In any advent giving admins the ability to upload modules etc gives them host rights. All they need to do is write a module with code that makes them an administrator. Then upload it. The code always executes with full rights so it will happily make them a super-user. If you could post some more informaiton about your specific scenario maybe someone has a better idea.

  I just tried the code you posted for the bug, and it validates correctly for me. Just a guess, but did you put this page under a dnn 4 site? If so dnn 4 uses the xhtmlconformance="legacy" tag in web.config, which causes the older behaviour.

  I've also come to the same conclusion. I've been revamping a container I use to be tabless and had to be the "help button" before the menu in the design. It indeed gave an object references error. I changed the design slightly and moved it to after and it now works. Whats really weird, is I just figured this out and was taking a break before "doing extensive testing" and logging the bug in Gemini. I just came accross this post and you've seemed to have saved me the trouble. What are the odds of that

  I would have to agree with david as well. I use the temporary file trick to handle reports generated on the fly waayyyy back in ASP.Net 1.0. :) Needless to say, it didn't work so well. Leftover files, missing files etc. So I switched to the aspx file in an img tags src attribute and this bogged preformance down, but it wasn't too bad. Then I created an directory viewer that dynamically showed the icons as well, and that killed the app. So I switched to an HttpHandler, threw in caching, a thread pool

  Is the portal alias different in IIS? If it is, DNN will "redirect" to the one was specified in the VS project. Therefore when the VS project isn't running, you get a page error. If it is running it will redirect to the Web Developer Host, and it will work. Hope this helps.
