  The problem with this solution is I cant use DNN as the opening page to my website. So I wouldnt call this a closed issue, just a work around that isnt that good.

  Is there a specific thread for the sub projecs (i.e.Forums/Blogs and Galleries) for DNN 3.0.12? I'd like to report an issue: The document attachment doesnt work correctly with the forum module. Regards, Ed

• Gallery Downloads

  I've added the "registered" role to the configuration to the gallery but I still cant get the download selection to show for registered users. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Regards, Ed

  Nik, You are correct, DNN runs in the root directory just fine. What I was saying is, running DNN in the root and another app in a sub directroy poses a problem with passing cookies in forms. When I try to integrate the cookies to provide single sign on, the sub app (if you will) has a problem with the cookie for some reason or another and wont recognize the username field. Ed

  My last post wasnt 100 correct. Its not the web.config file. I followed the directions above and got it to the point that it threw the user error in the child app as I mentioned above "argument is out of valid values for username". So my hunch is it has something to do with the cookie being passed and I'm not technical enough to figure it out.

  I could not get it to work with DNN in the root directory. I had to put DNN in a sub directory (i.e. www.website.com/dnn ) and everything works fine. It has something to do with the web.config sequence of events that prevents putting DNN in the root but I'm not technical enough to figure it out.

  I figured this one out. Here's the problem. The url contains spaces (i.e. www.web.com/file folder/file.aspx) and the editor cant recognize this. Once I moved the file to a folder without spaces it worked like a charm!
