Re: End-of Life for HMC/MPS?
HI It depends on what you are learning about it for. If you are looking at deploying HMC then yes you should keep learning about it, as Microoft will e at least 12 months away from having the new wave of products ready. So if you are looking at deploying this type of solution on the current versions this is still the way to go. The other thing is there are a lot of installs out there on MPS at the moment so if you are looking at doing SI or Dev work then learning about MPS is great because you will

Re: End-of Life for HMC/MPS?
Hi Steve Well for those using HMc4.5 with their own control panels it means writing new namespaces for MPS or replacing MPS by writing your own replacement or look at one of the products that will be coming out to replace MPS. There are some ISV's and SI's that are writing a MPS Replacement that should work with your existing control panels eg support your current calls to namespaces etc. You will of course need to adapt your control panel to the new procedures and namespaces for the wave

Re: End-of Life for HMC/MPS?
I am sorry but HMC without MPS isn't HMC. HMC is a full solution which includes MPS, and saying that hmc without mps is HMC is like saying that hmc without exchange is still HMC. I am glad you added you worked for ensim because the only poeple saying hmc still exists is Control panel vendors. Anyone who deploys Ensim, Parallels or EMS cortex where MPS is not the core engine then that is not HMC, that is a product from those vendors. (i am not saying the features etc aren't the same and they

Re: End-of Life for HMC/MPS?
Hi from what i understand Mps Is end of LIfe as in there are no more new versions or updates due to come out. So what we have now is all your getting with MPS so no Wave 14 support. Wave 14 is suppose to have some level of multi tennancy built in and there will be docs on all those process's but there will be no solution / provisoning engine with it. You will have to either bite the bullet and by a 3rd party control panel with their provisioning system, Build your own or look at one of the companies

Re: Exchange 2007 HMC 4.0 All Customers can view all the GAL's and AL's
HI If you are seeing other gal's and AL's then something has gone wrong.in your deployment. HMC by default locks down the Gals etc so i would try rerunning the gal and al lock down process. is ithis a new deployment an upgrade? Regards Leon
