  • Re: Navigating to restricted tab does not add ReturnUrl when redirecting to login page

I acutally think there is a much easier way without code changes: If you go to Admin-->Site Settings-->Advanced Settings-->Page Management You can set your Login Page there. If its set I believe that it redirects to the page you were trying to get to.

    Ok I have a Gridview on a page that is supposed to go inside a ContentPlaceHolder. I have placed the ContentPlaceHolder inside of the LoggedInTemplate control on the MasterPage as follows:. <asp:LoginView ID="LoginView1" runat="server"> <LoggedInTemplate> <div id="Content"> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="MainBody" runat="server"> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </div> </LoggedInTemplate> <AnonymousTemplate> <h1>Welcome</h1> <asp:Login ID="Login1

  • Re: Parse string to variable

I know that VB supports a CallbyName function but I see that you are a coder in C# I am not familiar with C#, but since I kinda knew what to look for I found this example that you may be able to use: http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=1975 Hope that helps....

  • Re: DNN 3.1.1, why is it still using FTB 3.0.5000.1? The latest is 3.1.3300.0

You might aslo consider switching to a different editor I personally use the FCKEditor and the provider is available here: http://dnn.tiendaboliviana.com/web/

  • Re: Is anyone coding DNN on a Linux box?

I looked at the site you mention. Mainsoft.... While their claim is "Therefore, you can say that Visual Studio .NET + Grasshopper = Visual Studio.NET for Linux!" it seems to NOT be that.... It seems to be Using Visual Studio to develop FOR Linux, which it really just wraps it up as J2EE. You still need to run VS on a Windows Box, and create the files to be deployed to the Linux box. While the IDEA is cool and useful, it still does not help one to move completely away from Windows.

I am not coding in linux, but I am keeping my eye on this: http://www.mono-project.com/ASP.NET_Visual_Designer Its supposed to work with MonoDevelop, but they have not released anything yet. You can also check out the developers blog at: http://compsoc.dur.ac.uk/~mjh/topic/mono BTW: SUSE is, I think, one of the greatest distros out there.... Great choice!

  • Re: Open Source

First I would like to clarify: Open Source != Free Software The PROJECT is released as open source, you are free to modify it however you wish... There are tools/methods (already mentioned above) that allow you to do so. The compiler that is necessary to build the project is included in the .Net framework as well, which is available for free... The VB.Net IDE is a great TOOL that can be used to facilitate making changes, and well worth the money ! Just like you can use a rock/stone to hammer a nail
