Re: Error 'Cannot write to DB File'
Hi thanks Blake, but this is an MSAccess DB, and I also can't seem to get it working on my local IIS. I've tried allowing all write/Full access to the folders and files but I am still missing something that I am sure is quite simple. I just can't seem to find it :( I'd like to get it working on my local IIS first before I contact the Host, then I will have some understanding of exactly what I need to request.

Re: Error 'Cannot write to DB File'

Re: Error 'Cannot write to DB File'
Sorry, I realise now that I wasn't very clear in the above post. The error occurs when I try to create a new user or log in with an existing user name (created when running from VS) I have changed nothing in the source code, the source from the starter kit was compiled and I placed the data files in ~App_Data and the SampleAccessProviders.dll in the Bin folder. I then placed a Login and a CreateUserWizard Control on the page.

Error 'Cannot write to DB File'
I've been playing around with the Sample Access Provider Starter Kit and everything works perfectly when running it directly from Visual Studio. But when I upload everything to my webserver, or try to access it on my own machine with IIS I get a 'Cannot write to DB File' Error. I've tried setting permissions on my own machine, and on the remote webserver (which is running Helm) I can't find how to. I'm still a newbie at all this, does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? A Google search and one

I just came across this thread and am also interested in how to download this. Google Search only brought me back here :)

Re: registration benefits
It worked fine for me, you may need to register a new account at the 'Microsoft Connect' page, is it possible for you to do this? Or is there no link to register?
