    Could you please tell me how to start using System.DirectoryServices???? it gives me and error that it is not defined but it is in the %windir%\assembly folder Mensaje de error del compilador: BC30002: El tipo 'System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry' no está definido.

    how can you manage to redirect to another web page, and so from that Active-X ??? I have develop my first Active-X to read some data from the client machine but after that I need to redirect to another page. I am sure it must be very simple but still have not found any sample out there after three days!!! Could you please post some code or give me a good link? It will be very appreciated!!!! ( A little further... is it available to access the session, application, and request object from that Active

    Sorry, I want to develop an Active-X in vb.net that will be downloaded to the browser, read the com port of the client and redirect to another web page. I know how to make the downloable Active-X but I do not know how to redirect to another page from that .net "applet". Should I use javabrowser controls???

    Thank you for your answer my friend. Yes, my idea is to develop an Active-X that is embeded in every web page and monitor the port. Once the user slide its card, I read the code and then log in. The best would be to have my own web page to save my own information on the magnetic band such as identity code and so. For the momment I just want to read the user code saved in the magnetic band. Because I have never done something like this before.

  • VB.NET code to access the serial port

    I have developed a web kiosk, now I am develping the login method that will be via magnetic cards. If I connect the card reader to the keyboard port and there is a textbox in a page it will show the data stored in the card, so I want to connect it to the serial port. In order to read the code I think it will be needed an applet in every web page that monitor the serial port and when the user pass the card it read the magnetic band and makes authentication and so. Does anyone have an idea for me about
