Re: Access is Denied: 'WebChart'
It's working now but I'm not sure what fixed it. I tried some things before this last reply: - rebooting the computer - giving aspnet user full permissions to the dll (which i tried before posting this thread) - rebuilding the web app the next day after hibernating the computer However, I did implement the indexing change and it is still working.

Does Gridview's non visible textbox controls retain text value on postback?
I have a gridview with a textbox where the Visible='False'. On postback, the code iterates through the rows and gets the textbox's value from the following: TextBox quantity = (TextBox)saverow.FindControl( "Quantity" ); If the textbox is visible, it's value is "1" but if it's non-visible, then quantity.Text = "0". Is this by design or is something else going on? The one other issue is that the textbox is actually contained in another control whose

Re: Hidden Input Field causes potentially dangerous Request.Form value error
Thank you for the response. I tried using htmlencode but it didn't seem to change the equals sign. I'll probably change it using my own substitution. That link explains the entire issue and how to work around it. Hurrah!

Hidden Input Field causes potentially dangerous Request.Form value error
In my ASP.NET 1.1 application, I am compressing and replacing the hidden Viewstate variable with an alternate compressed value, stored in a hidden field called __VSTATE. This works well but on a few occasions, submitting a page causes the common "potentially dangerous Request.Form value ..." error. I examined the __VSTATE value and nothing seems to be potentially dangerous. I was able to reproduce the error with a completely stripped down version of the page and __VSTATE value as shown

IE 6 shuts down when trying to view post 1337931.
When I try to access the following post ( http://forums.asp.net/t/1337931.aspx ) and page down to see the solution, IE throws an error and shuts down. I'm using IE 6 on XP. Could this be a problem with the respondent's Avatar?

Write Datatable data to XML string for database storage (.NET 1.1)
How can I write a datatable's content as an XML String for storing in a database? The only examples I found were for writing to an XML file. Thanks in advance.

Re: "'System.Data.DataRow' does not contain a property" when using datatable.Select()
Thank you for your response. I'm trying to avoid having to create my own function in the code behind and just do it via markup. I know this works when I bind to a datatable, for example.
