  You can however convert PHP to source code that can be compiled. microsoft have a PHP to ASP.NET covnersion tool you can download. http://www.asp.net/downloads/archived/migration-assistants/php-to-aspnet/ It isn't great, but it does the job. The resutl is more like ASP than ASP.NET code.

  I got it with DNN 3.0.13 when someone switched the ASP.NET runtime from 1.1 to 2.0. On switching it back the problem resolved itself.

  Having just solved this myself. Another possible cause is 'missing methods' I updated the SqlDataProvider DLL after changing the DataProvider interface, but I forgot to update the main DLL as well. I hope someone at DNN puts something into CreateObject to do some checks around the 'GetType' call so it could report more than 'Null reference' later on. Think I'll go suggest it.

  Well, I finally managed to a 'a cause', though probably not the root cause. In the database I see three process for the DB, all sleeping, none supposedly blocking. Two say 'AWAITING COMMAND', and one says 'EXECUTE' The Execute is calling 'GetTab 1', and is running for well over 15 minutes. (tabId = 1 is not part of this portal by the way, but is in the database) I can get 'GetTab 1' and get a result in under 1 second via the query analyser If I issue a 'Kill Process' on the 'EXECUTE' process, the

  Wild guess, but Ticks is a property of a DateTime. So I'm guessing that it's complaining about the value in the DateTime parameter or some DateTime value it's creating inside the method call.
