Validation inside a user control acts differently on XP and Windows 2003 Server
Hi folks... I have a user control. Inside the control I'm validating a textbox. In XP, when I click a button, if the textbox's text is not proper, warning message comes up and there is no postback. In Windows Server 2003, when I click a button, if the textbox's text is not proper, warning message comes up but there is postback ! In Windows Server 2003 after the postback, if I click the button again, there is no postback. So of the code is same. It happens only when I use User Control

Re: Windows CE 5.0 Project Dynamic Web Service Url problem
Thanks for the reply florim, I tried your solution, it compiled but I got an error on runtime. Something like : Could not load type 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationException' from assembly 'System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=969DB8053D3322AC'. I'm really not comfortable with getting System.Configuration.dll from Framework\v2.0.50727 folder. Why a mobile project's System.Configuration does not have ConfigurationManager or ConfigurationSettings ? Getting

Re: Windows CE 5.0 Project Dynamic Web Service Url problem
Hi Zhao, That article was my starting point. As I mentioned earlier I don't have the System.Configuration.ConfigurationSettings under the System.Configuration. My web service reference is under a Mobile Project. This could be the reason. So the article's solution does not work for me. Thank you

Windows CE 5.0 Project Dynamic Web Service Url problem
Hi, I'm working on a mobile project. I have a web service which has static url. I want to make it dynamic. It's possible to change it from the properties but it does not change reference.cs file. Static url stays there without any change. If I do same thing in a class library project reference.cs automatically changes ... Even System.Configuration does not have ConfiguationSettings or ConfigurationManager... So what is wrong with Mobile project ? How can I configure web service url from config

TextBox and Ajax Extender as a Custom Web Control
Hi folks, I just want to create a custom web control which has a textbox and a maskededitextender. I don't want to put the extender in every page for every textbox control. I've tried some code but couldn't make it work. First of all is using an extender inside a custom control a bad idea ? (I couldn't find any single article ...) Do you have any sample code ? Thanks a lot

Re: Treeview control's selectednodeindex property in javascript
I'm really waiting an answer for this question too. Postback on -/+ doesn't make any sense. Please share if you fand a solution. Updating treeview.htc file didn't work for me and I tried to catch onexpand and oncollapse events from javascript. I did it but how can I make TreeView expand and collapse ? This is the whole story...
