Re: DNN with Load Balancing and Webfarms
That's correct. But here's an update. We finally gave up and just modified the core to use the FileSystemObject rather than the System.IO to read/write files and directories. Problem seemed to be the whole thing with the Network Services account needing read access to the system root to check to see if it had write permissions to the specified web root.

Re: DNN with Load Balancing and Webfarms
For http traffic destined for our public web farm, most http traffic is routed through F5 Big IP Switches which load balance traffic and pass requests to web servers in a round robin type fashion. The F5 also manages/maintains client/system session variables. In general, our public web sites have their home directories on 2 seperate file servers. We currently use Microsoft Cluster Administrator, which provides redundancy for the file server identities, similar to what DFS is capable of doing. I'm

Re: DNN with Load Balancing and Webfarms
Anyone have a chance to review this yet? I have the same issue. Files on a file server, not the web server.

Error loading modules clears with refresh?
Permissions appear to be set correctly. Else why would the module load one time and not the next. Once it is in memory, it seems fine. The first time it loads into memory I get the above error. Any takers on this? I've been trying to solve this problem for a month. I'm running on IIS6. Thanks! Eric

Keeping Network Service account from accessing other sites
With full permissions over multiple directories hosting their own instances of DNN, is there a way to keep an application on one portal from being able to write/read files from another DNN instance where the Network Service account also has permissions? How does WebHost4Life do it? Thanks, Eric

Re: Security Audit or Tips?
Most helpful. I knew I saw something like this somewhere, but for the life of me I couldn't find it. If you or anyone come across updates to this info specific to later releases (although I understand Cathal's still applies), I'd appreciate the notification. I'll do likewise. Regards, Eric

Security Audit or Tips?
Has there been a security audit of DNN2 or higher? I'm piloting DNN in my organization on a few projects, one of which is highly sensitive information. Would be interested in the results or in any security tips if people have them. Many thanks! Eric
