Re: How to detect changes in the Form
Wow - this thread is 3 years old (almost) and I can't find a better solution. We're using .netTiers if that makes any difference (no datasets for us ). Is there a more elegant solution out there for an ASP.NET Web application using the .NET 2.0 framework? Thanks a million!

Re: caching problem
Thanks misuk11...I have an AppDomain problem and need to go back to the drawing board. I want my Class Library to be self contained and use caching (via Ent Lib), which seems to be impossible. The CacheFactory always reverts to the AppDomain of the referencing app...which makes sense, but then my .dll is no longer self contained </loop>.

Re: caching problem
I'm having nearly the same problem. I have one Solution with 2 projects. One project is a Class Library in which I have an App.Config that evidently is irrelevant. The second project is a Web application that references the .dll (output) of the first project (the Class Library). I call into my Class Library from my Web app. I have a breakpoint in the Class Library where the NullReferenceException is being thrown. While still debugging I can see that in the CacheFactory .GetCacheManager(); , the

Re: PasswordRecovery Control with custom membership provider and custom membership User...
This is getting to be a pain. Has anyone got the answer to this? My issue is about the same. I have a locked out user and I want to on VerifyingAnswer both unlock the account and send the password. I can't make it past VerifyingUser and am unable to successfuly set the MembershipProvider to my custom. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: SQL Writer - SQLDUMPER failed initialization
Nope, I've learned to live with it as it doesn't seem to affect performance and it's on a box that I only occasionally use. I'd still love to have it gone though. There is one difference between our scenarios...I did not install .NET 3.0 just all of the 2.0 CTPs, Betas, and RTM. Good luck!

DataBind DropDown
I've searched and played and am guessing my issue is with the DropDownExtender, but that's were I'm stuck. What I want to do is the equivalent of binding data to the new DropDown control (not the cascading dropdown, I've got that figured out and want to stay away from using a WS right now - if possible). Any help, suggestions, or a link if the info is already out there would be much appreciated! Scott

Re: A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. - after installing new instance of SQL Server 2005 w/NO App changes
Joy. We found the problem today. In efforts to improve the performance of the aspnet_xxx sprocs, we added (with nolock) to many of them. This helped tremendously in SQL 2000. It killed us when moving to 2005. Removing this from aspnet_Profile_GetProperties solved the problem. There were more things we'd found along the way after I posted this, like with health monitoring and analysis of the SQL logs, we saw that MANY of our profiles were not being decoded as they were corrupt - not being fully

A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. - after installing new instance of SQL Server 2005 w/NO App changes
We've devoted a resource to this today, but I have to believe it's something easy that we're overlooking. The scneario is that we have a production Web application that until last weekend had a SQL 2000 back end. This weekend we installed a new instance of SQL 2005 and everything works (we tested in a sandbox environment, but someone must not have load tested enough) and never saw these exceptions. So, after the upgrade we now receive 100's of thexe SQL excptions per day: A transport

Re: SqlRoleProvider will not Cache
Where do you go when you're at your wits end? Back to the begining? Anyone, Please? What if I turn this around. Tell me your experience if you've gotten caching to work with your SqlRoleProvider, and we can start from there. Thanks!
