  • Re: Your Hosting Provider Has Disabled the Site Log History Feature For Your Portal.

Interesting. I would have thought that a value of 0 would indicate unlimited like it seems to do with disk space. I changed the value to 60 and it works fine. Thanks!

  • Your Hosting Provider Has Disabled the Site Log History Feature For Your Portal.

When I go to my SiteLog, I get the message " Your Hosting Provider Has Disabled the Site Log History Feature For Your Portal." How was this done and how can I change it? Thanks!

  • Admin functions are SLOW!!!

Is it just me or do you guys find the host and admin options slow? More specifically, the User Admin, Log Viewer, and Site Log. Not sure why - the user admin module simply needs to perform a simple lookup and show it in a grid. Same with the Site Logs. While I'm on the subject, I'd sure like to be able to see more fields in my User Admin dropdown so I can search be fields other than user name and email...like first name or last name, etc.. Any thoughts?

  • Re: Migrating Users Data Only

Well, I only saw one listing for moving users but it does not move roles. Maybe someone could simply tell me if the data structure has changed. If not, this shouldn't be a very difficult task and I'll write something myself and publish it.

  • Migrating Users Data Only

Okay, I've decided I'd like to start fresh...eh...well, almost. I'm going to create a new 3.1 site to replace my existing (v 2.12) site. This is to prevent the upgrade issues I've read about as well as give me a fresh palete to work from. (This has been a long time coming and my files are simply all over the place and this will give me a chance to reorganize.) The only data I want to migrate is my user data. I've got over 1100 members on my site and I don't want to inconvenience them. Does anyone

  • Re: Performance problem DNN 3.1

Moderate cache (default setting I believe). I do have a very good host and have never had speed issues. I'll mess around on it for a couple of days and see. You know, this brings back a post I did a long time ago regarding concurrent users and speed testing. ANYONE done any analysis regarding concurrent users and speed testing? If so, I'd like to see the results and if you could, please include the hardware used. Thanks!

  • Re: Performance problem DNN 3.1

I just did a fresh install of 3.1.1 and I don't see any performance enhancement. In fact, I think this is the slowest version yet.

  • DNN 3.1 Installation - Can I do this???

Hi everyone, I think the two reasons most people hesitate to upgrade is fear of data loss and down-time. Like many DNN sites out there, mine are cluttered up with DNN source files, a couple of custom module files, and tons of text, sound, and image files. For me, it's time for a clean-up! So here's what I'd like to do: Delete all files EXCEPT the ones located in the "DesktopModules", "Components", and "Portals" folders, and of course leave the database in tact. Then, copy the DNN 3.1 installation

  • Re: DotNetNuke 3.1 Status

I think this is an excellent solution. The only thing I would suggest is that you include the version number in the file name: <appSettings file="DotNetNuke3.1.0.config"></appSettings> This way, you still have the other file in tact if you need to pilfer other settings.
