Re: Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
I have a VPS and that is where it is hosted. Nothing has changed. Everything seems to be set properly in both my IIS and SSMS. As I said it had been working for almost a year and then when I opened Websettings.vb using notepad and then closed it without making any changes that was when I started getting this error. One other thing I might add is that I did a Google search on various parts of the error message but nothing I found applied to my situation.

Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
I have a Club Starter Kit (2.0) site that has been working for a number of months and then it stopped. I had opened the C:\ClubStarterKits\Ver3Beta1\Express (VB)\App_Code\DAL\Generated\WebSettings.vb to see if there was something I needed to change but there wasn't and then I closed it (I was using notepad to open it). I did not change anything in it. When I ran my site again though I got this error: Can anyone tell me why this happened and/or how to fix it? Cannot open user default database

Re: How do you change the width of the master page and the content page
I installed VWD2008 and then converted my Clubsite app to .net 3.5 and now when I do a build I get this error: Error 24 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. And I have no idea what causes it or how to fix it. Can you help me on this?

Re: How do you change the width of the master page and the content page
I don't think the changes I am making in the stylesheet.css are being read. I made some color changes and some border changes and nothing happens. Where should that css file be referenced for it to work?

Re: How do you change the width of the master page and the content page
This is the part I changed: /* Main part of the page that holds contents */ #body { width : 976px ; margin-top : 7px ; margin-right : 0 ; margin-left : 0 ; position : relative ; } Is that also what you changed? I also closed all my browser instances and did not only a browser refresh, but also a Ctl F5 and and F5. I also made sure I saved saved the StyleSheet.css after I made my changes. BTW, I am making changes to css/Stylesheet.css. Is that correct?

Yes, I saw those before and I changed them to 926px. But nothing changed.

Re: How do you change the width of the master page and the content page
I had already changed the body width attributes in styles.css but nothing happens. I even experimented with the #columnleft and #columnright width and margin attributes but again nothing changed. ITMT, I will download VWD2008 and try it.

How do you change the width of the master page and the content page
I have tried increasing the poster, footer, etc width in the style.css file and also in the default.aspx page but nothing happens. Is there a way to increase the width of the site?

Re: Cannot delete Blogs
No, I didn't try the Codeplex site because I really thought I was supposed to use this forum. Does anyone know what these forums are to be used for? Should we always use the Codeplex forum and just forget about this one? That seems strange to me but I guess I will give it a try. I just went to the codeplex forum and I had forgotten I had made a post there in reponse to someone elses post which was basically the same as the one I posted here, including the same error message. No one has answered

Re: Cannot delete Blogs
I realize this is a free piece of software and all support is on a catch as catch can basis, but could we at least have a moderator that would let us know if any kind of fix is in the works or not? If the current moderator is unable to monitor the forum would you try to find someone who can?
