  • Re: using dotnetnuke with iis on another port than 80.

Make sure that you have the ip:81/dotnetnuke set up as an alias. I run all of my test sites off of port 81 and I have no problems with that. John Kellgren Newtrend Software

  • Re: Editable DataGrid Update

Dave: Thanks again. I'm getting ready to download the module and the other things that you've provided for us. I'll let you know via this thread what the results are. I've also been playing with the module from Charlie Soloman that deals with generating PDF files from Sql Stored Procedures. I think that a combination of these modules would be a great overall solution. Generate Sql report, edit the data, and then produce the results as a PDF. Could be the final touch. In the meantime, your job as

  • Re: OT: Mail Server Software

Shaggy: Based on the information that I read in this thread, I did download and install MailEnable on my w2k server. The only problem that I am having is that when I go to test the SMTP connection to Dnn (3.1), I'm still getting a cdo.message error every time. I've tried most of the tricks that I read in the MailEnable forum, including setting up MS Smtp and assigning it to a different port for incoming. The bottom line is that if you have any possible solutions or links to good read sites, please

  • Re: SalarOCrystal skin...

Klunde: Honestly, I hunted around for so long and with so many click combinations, that I would probably have to go hunt again to figure it out. I'm sure that the second time wouldn't be as difficult, but for timesake, if you would like the latest version just give me your e-mail address. I'll send you a zip file containing not only the skin, but the updated container. John Kellgren Newtrend Software

  • Re: New DNN3 Module lets you generate PDF files from an SQL stored proc

Charlie: Your module is working fine. Adding the extra parameters also makes it more flexible. The code looks good too. Now for the question of future direction methodology: Since I am using Efficions Advanced Datagrid (which will soon be editable), we have the ability to get data from tables outside of our current portal. To be able to use your current module, either one of two things has to be accomplished. Either a method has to be created to move the ADG data that is returned to a table in the

  • Re: SalarOCrystal skin...

Salar: I have just spent the last hour looking through all of your sites for the latest edition of your SalaroCrystal skin and containers. I have the original version installed on a new client's site. I became aware through these postings that new versions of the product are available. I just can't find them. Thank you for your indulgence. I really do like the basic skin/container package. John Kellgren Newtrend Software

  • Re: Advanced Datagrid Module by Efficion Consulting

David: Would you please give us a 'latest' update of how you are progressing on adding your in-line editing capabilities to the 3.1.3 of the Advanced DataGrid. I just downloaded the current version from your site and after installing the PA, I don't see the ability to set the editpage in the module settings. The site that I have to build for a current client is based on the DNN 3.x platform. Again, thank you ahead of time for your latest info and all of the great work you are doing. John Kellgren

  • Re: Booking Module

favance: Thanks for the post. I was not aware of the new sub-project that will extend your Calendar/Event module. Another valiant Dnn effort. After reading the basic announcement contents, I didn't see anything that referred to actual Booking/Appointment functionality. If it is the case that the module planning will address these functions, would someone who is directly involved please post the features of the planned sub-project that directly address these items. That information will allow other
