  • Re: Build Error: dependency 'CountryListBox in 'BuildSupport' cannot be copied to the run directory

1.) Right click on the CountryListBox project and select build. 2.) Right click on the DotNetNuke.WebUtility project and select build. 3.) Now you can right click on the entire solution and select build. You only have to do steps 1 & 2 the first time you open the source project. Not sure why, but this works for me. Enjoy!

This is good news (the new release). The bad news is we can safely say brian_c is about to queue up a barrage of complaints to unleash. :D

  • Re: Atlas and Yahoo! User Interface Library Starter Kit

I am all set Chad. I went ahead and created a sample project using all the templates just to test them out. Again, if you need the VB.NET conversion, don't hesitate to ask. No sense in wasting your time converting it when I've already done so. Thanks again.

Chad, I converted your AYSK:Grids project template over to VB.NET. I can send it to you (or anyone else interested), just email me or IM me. One question, do you have any actual sample projects with a page or two that actually uses the library? Thats the only thing missing, other than that, great job!

  • Re: Should DNN follow JBOSS?

Gotta admit, I have to agree with Chris. I have yet to see you post one positive thing at all about DNN over the last 2 years. If this solution is so painful and so lackluster for you, then by all means. please move on.

  • Re: A Complaint (PING: Core Team)...

My suggestion, if we want everyone to start posting over there, but not lose searching capabilities here, is to start locking down the sections to new posts over here. That way, users can still search the archives, but not post new articles in threads. Just my .02.

  • Re: A Complaint (PING: Core Team)...

Thanks for the clarification Joe. To say I am not a fan of the CS forums used here at ASP.NET is quite an understatement. :(

  • A Complaint (PING: Core Team)...

Whats the deal with the forums? Are we using this forum, or are we using the forums over at dotnetnuke.com? What's the deal? You have some members telling new people to go over there, you have others still posting here. Seems that someone has successfully split the knowledge base up and now there is confusion as to where everyone should be posting and gettng their info. This is a shame, and very typical of open source projects, something I never thought the powers-that-be would cave in to. So someone

  • Re: Who's got the fastest DNN Site? Look'n for Speed!!

"IE has this habbit of waiting for the site to load completly before starting to render them. This means that even the smalest icon has to be loaded before IE starts rendering them. Just pray you don't get a timeout. I am not bashing IE here, FF isn't much better." This is not a browser specific issue, this is more of table design vs. css/div driven design. I can show you plenty of examples, in IE or otherwise, that load layout before content due to css/div driven design.
