CSK and Frames
For all you CSK experts out there... I'm trying to create a new skin for the community starter kit that uses a flash header with animated buttons. Each of the buttons link to their own html sections of the community that I created for use with the skin. Everything seems to work fine, but when I log in to edit the html pages weird stuff starts to happen. Sometimes it doesn't display the changes I made to the html text until I close and re-open the browser, when I hit the login link in a particular

Menu Modification Help
Hi all, I'm modifying the starter kit for a friend, and want to replace the category menu on the left with a drop down list that goes into the header. I'm running into a problem with post backs and viewstate... As you can see from my code below I follow the example of the included _menu.ascx user control and build a querystring to get the proper category to show on the productlist.aspx page. The problem is that whenever the page posts back, the drop down list databinds and resets the selected index

Publishing sections as a web service
Has anyone had any problems sharing community sections across multiple communities via a web service? I created two test sections in community 1, a discussion and an articles section, and I exposed them both as web services. In community 2 I added the service subscriptions in the admin tool for the sections I exposed in community 1, and I set up two new sections to consume the web services. Now the Articles section in community 2 displays the Articles from the community 1 service, but the Discussion

Re: Community Site with Shopping Cart
Robin, the shopping cart looks great! It looks to me like you integrated the commerce starter kit into the community kit, I would be interested in seeing how it was done... Could you send me the source to p_chent@hotmail.com? Thanks! Paul

Adrotator and Flash
Hi All, Any ideas on how to use flash animations in the Adrotator control? I created some nifty banner ads with swish, and want to put them into the CSK without too much pain! Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Re: Have to login twice to get to Admin?
Andrew: I got a response back from my ISP, and yes, they do run their sites on a farm. So your theory may indeed be correct... Sean: When I log into admin the first time, I notice that the admin link does not appear, so even if I try to manually navigate to the admin page once I attempt the first login, I get redirected to the login page again. But after the second login attempt the admin link appears. Weird. Its really not too much of an issue, I can deal with logging in twice. Just more an annoyance

And in this particular case, it is not intermittent, it happens all the time!

Re: Have to login twice to get to Admin?
I've sent an e-mail to find out if my ISP uses a farm, but I suspect not... I'll let you know as soon as I hear back.
