Re: where does UpdateProgress goes
It's easy to build your own UpdateProgress panel, just by using the core ASP.NET Ajax extentions beta 1 (this example is taken from the ASP.NET Ajax documentation on page http://ajax.asp.net/docs/ClientReference/Sys.WebForms/PageRequestManagerClass.aspx ) Assuming you have a scriptmanager on your page, an updatepanel and an html DIV-element (named 'myUpdatePanel' with style='visibility:hidden;'). 'myUpdatePanel' contains the text/image you want to show when the UpdatePanel is waiting

Re: CheckBoxList Atlas Problem
I've got the same problem (CheckBoxList not working as trigger for an UpdatPanel). How can we report this as a bug to the Atlas team?

Re: TextBoxWaterMark and FormView question
Hi David, I've looked at your example, but I cannot see any UpdatePanel there. I just made a quick hack in the textBoxWatermark code, by skipping the 'RegisterOnSubmitStatement' line inside the OnLoad method. Unfortunately this doesn't clear the TextBox anymore on a submit, but it solves the javascript errors. And if you try using the TextBoxWatermark inside a Repeater of GridView returns a different type of errors. --Dion

Re: TextBoxWaterMark and FormView question
Hi David, I tried to use the WatermarkExtender in a GridView, but errors did pop up. Using a WatermarkExtender when there's also an UpdatePanel on the screen gives javascript errors. Great that all sources are available: I can fix it myself! (should I report my fixes somewhere?) --Dion

Re: Atlas verus other AJAX implementations
Atlas also offers Ajax without extra programming: look for the UpdatePanel. MagicAjax offers a simular solution to UpdatePanels.

Re: SecurityException trying to consume web services with Atlas installed
Hi d-snp, Your workaround doesn't work when using UpdatePanels. So we have to wait for the next Atlas release to fix this. --Dion

Atlas not working under medium trust
Atlas is currently not working under medium trust (test this by putting <trust level="Medium" originUrl="" /> in your web.config). Medium trust is default for almost all ASp.NET 2.0 hosting providers. Is medium trust going to be supported in the next versions of Atlas?

Re: Atlas and ASP.NET 2.0 Web Parts
We had the same problem when building MagicAjax.NET, but finally got it working. See online demo at: http://demo2.magicajax.net/examples/WebParts.aspx Maybe you can use my 'WebPartManager_Cleanup' javascript function, that disposes all WebPartManager client-objects so the new objects can be created without problems. --Dion // Script to 'reset' current webpartmanager function WebPartManager_Cleanup() { if (__wpm != null && __wpm.zones != null) { //loop zones for (var i = 0; i < __wpm.zones

Re: Atlas has finally 'found' the right Ajax approach
Hi Amirll, Let's not use the Atlas forums to start a MagicAjax vs. zumiPage discussion. We could move the discussion to the MagicAjax forum http://forum.magicajax.net/forums (if the site isn't down :) Short reaction on the comparision: the current version of MagicAjax doesn't handle updated scripts, so that's why we needed to disable clientside validators. But Atlas does handle this, so Atlas should be able to do all this. About the ASP.NET 2.0 tree-control: this control already has its own Ajax
