  • Re: the best host for DNN in this moment?

MobileNow, do you provide hosting for DotNetNuke 3? If so, how would it be done? How long will it take? Does anyone else know of a host that support DotNetNuke 3?

  • Need Web Services book

Hi, I am an accomplished ASP.NET programmer with C# as my preferred language of choice. I wish to master Web Services. However, I have not been able to find any good book. Many books have negative reviews at Amazon.com, some complain that the books content is out of date. I was wondering if anyone could reccomend me a book. So far I have been looking at the following two books: 1) Expert Service-Oriented Architecture in C#: Using the Web Services Enhancements 2.0 by Jeffrey Hasan, and 2) Understanding

  • WebControls and HtmlControls performance comparison

Hi, Today my colleague said HTMLControls are 30% times fatser then Web Controls. I always thought Web Controls would be faster. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has links to NON Microsoft and NON Microsoft partner white paper, case study or research that proves one theory or the other? Thanks in advance!

  • Re: Can't load empty module :(

Hey Anthony, Thank you for you're help, I have managed to fix the problem! For some reason SecurityNet.DNN.Modules.SecurityNet and SecurityNet.DNN.Modules.SecurityNet.SqlDataProvider were not getting built. Do you know why this problem was occuring? btw, I am using DnnJungle's templates and Bono's tutorial to enable debugging.

  • Can't load empty module :(

Edited by SomeNewKid. Please post code between < code> and < /code> tags. Hi, I have just started developing some custom modules for DotNetNuke. Unfortunately I have hit the wall! I tried following the HelloWorld tutorial from DnnJungle, after adding the definition when I tried to access it I got: Module Load Exception. I thought maybe I did'nt follow the tutorial properly. Now when I try to add empty module I get the same error. System.Web.HttpParseException: Parser Error: Could not

haha I would love to use O/R mappers and all the state of the art tools. The only reason I chose IBuySpy is because I had no budget and IBuySpy is Open Source. I can't believe so many people hate IBuySpy, I thought it was supposed to be best practices! :)

Kragie, thanks for you're advice. One of my friends has developed job search engine for security guards http://www.securitynet.com.au/ . Being Functional Analyst he himself is not a programmer, so he hired programmers who developed the system in J2EE. In Feburary he told me what he had done and his vision for future. After I told him all the great things about ASP.NET, he wanted me to convert and enhance the exisiting system. I used IBuySpy as base and had done about 60% when my Univerisity semester
