Re: MVC and JQuery
Miguel, You can do this with the validation plugin for Jquery. It uses Json just as you want. Here is a good link: http://httpcode.com/blogs/PermaLink,guid,f8970f20-90d1-4af6-b2da-0285f1963b14.aspx Kevin

Re: If looking at starting a new site....Why shouldn't you go the MVC route?
I say go for it! It's already very mature.

Re: Html.SubmitButton
I completely agree. Html helper functions should not be used to replace simple static objects like submit buttons.

Re: Web Services Strategy Question
Thanks for the response. I could filter based on requester but that is another maintenance point that I would have to think about. going to a more flexible REST solution is a bit scary because of the performance factor. We may have 3-5k concurrent users. I'll have to research REST more though. Thanks, ScAndal

Web Services Strategy Question
We currently have a SQL Database that acts as a repository and we have business partners that need access to this data. Since we don't want to give them direct access to the database, we are building WCF Web Services and allowing them to make calls to get their data. Here is the problem we are running into. Each group needs a little bit different data. I'm trying to keep the methods down to a maintainable level and so trying to find the middle ground as far as not returning too much data
