jrblack10 wrote: Ok, sorry about this, don't mean to kick a dead horse on this one but... I still can not get my client to login to my DNN portal. I have uninstalled all FotoVision code. jbrinkman wrote: This thread is funny. Now we have guys with 4 posts telling guys with 3 posts he remembers when he first started. I think we have found the last two lurkers from 1.x . Well, regardless of how long you have been using DNN, this is always a common question and one that many on the core team have asked at least once... including Geert. Not quite, I'm another lurker from 1.x

Re: v3.1 Nant script
Geert wrote: Ok, Just tested the deployment package that Nant creates. There is one small file that is missing but an important one : In /Portals_default there should be a Cache directory, where the file-based caching stores it's cache files. Because we are deleting .txt files with Nant, this directory is not included in the zip (we should place a placeholder.txt in this directory and exclude placeholder.txt files from the script). I will make sure the Nant script is updated for the next release

Re: v3.1 Nant script
There is no reason why the community cant help with the Nant script. It only needs someone like Casper (thanks Casp) to identify the files that were missing in the Nant script, and thanks to Geert for pointing out which ones were/were not needed. You've been around the project long enough to have had a look into it yourself aswell Brian, and shared that info with us all. Unfortunately, I am not quite familiar with it all enough to figure out what was/was not missing apart from the obvious ones (the

Re: v3.1 Nant script
As far as I'm aware Geert is working on something like this for DNN v3. On the DotNetNuke.com Project forums there is a forum related to the Installer project that has Geert as the lead. He also has on his site a windows based installer that installed DNN v2. But there is another thread on these forums about Geert's installer project. I'm sure he'll be able to update you on this project a bit more accurately than I can. In relation to your comments about upgrading. I agree. I love the DNN project

Re: Best approach to remove old source version and replace with Release 3.1 version
Just be aware that the Nant scripts as released in v3.1 dont work properly. The miss some crucial files which cause the application to fail. So, your options are to debug the scripts, or wait until Geert can find one of the admins for dotnetnuke.com so they can upload his release version. See http://forums.asp.net/952044/ShowPost.aspx

Re: v3.1 Nant script
Thanks Geert, that sounds great. I hope that you and the rest of the core get some good sleep at some stage. Hopefully not interrupted by the 'Are we there yet?' posts, or nightmares over them.

Re: v3.1 Nant script
This user also came across the same error using the Nant Scripts, see http://forums.asp.net/951943/ShowPost.aspx Looks like it is the script. If anyone can give me a pointer about what the missing files are that would be excellent, Cheers.
