Re: /Views/Home/Index.aspx cant be found after small change
It sounds like you are directly accessing the aspx view, instead of going through your controller.

Re: How to use ASP.NET server controls in MVC
As of right now, yes. But, ASP.NET Ajax is not the only option you have. There are a ton of different javascript libraries/plug-ins/widgets out there that are very useful and they don't care what web platform you use. jQuery, Moo Tools, Prototype, Yahoo UI. There are many options out there.

Re: Frustration, structure, judgement and giving back
I vote for a sticky topic that says "Documentation will be available at release." It doesn't make sense to create documentation for things that will change. The project hasn't been completed yet. That's the price you pay for using pre-release software. I've been using MVC for a little while now and it hasn't always been fun upgrading from one version to another. Sometimes things are broking or removed. Other times they've created a new and better way to do something

Re: Why there is a default.aspx in the initial project of MVC?
1. It's for routing. It allows MVC to be initiated if someone types in http://site/. There's a route that handles it. 2. No 3. No

Re: MVC vs ASP Classic
There is a huge difference. Business logic vs. presentation logic. You should only have presentation logic in your MVC views. That's all. You can leverage helper methods to clean up your code and remove a lot of the embedded branching logic.

Re: ASP.NET MVC Class documentation
I know. I was referring to the class/method level documentation that's available from within Visual Studio (XML comments).

Re: Question about MVC when released...
Can't answer the first question, but ASP.NET MVC is bin deployable. If your host has ASP.NET 3.5, you're good to go.

Re: ASP.NET MVC Class documentation
Come on everyone. You know they're going to provide documentation for the release. There's no sense in requesting it. I'm sure they're working on it. Until then, read blogs, forums and the code. That's the price you pay for using pre-release software. It would be a waste of time to provide "Preview" documentation for things that will/could change.

Re: MVC application not working on localhost - 404 error
You'll need to setup a wildcard mapping in IIS. There's no other way.
