Re: how to format a heading using CSS
Just style the <th> element: th {background-color:#006666; font-family: 'Arial Black'; height: 6px; font-size: small;color: #ffffff} <th>This is the heading of the table</th> This is also semantically correct - keep your <td> tags for displaying data, not headings. regards, Tim

Changing <a> tag in Repeater
Hi Guys and girls! Bit of a newbie here! I have a DataRepeater that has an <a> tag in it that has a thumbnail image - the link will open up a larger version of the thumbnail (using the "Thickbox" plugin). My problem is that not all my thumbnails have a larger image available, so I need to change the <a> tag to just an <img> tag depending on th situation. Obviously I can tell from my DataSet what the situation is so how do I change the HTML ? Any help or pointers would

Idea needed for delaying button click...
Hi Guys and Girls, I have yet to delve into the world of Ajax, but I think it will solve a problem I have, and I wanted to get some opinions... (Forgive me if I'm a bit vague, but the nature of the project means that I have to be!) The situation is that there will be a list of real world events that each happen at a given time. If the user tries to use the application, looking at an event that is IN PROGRESS (ie has already started) then I want to be able to delay the button click event of a

Re: Help - page sometimes rendered with an extra <div> tag
Hi Will, Fire up the IIS MMC and click on the ASP.NET tab of your website - what version is showing? It may be just a question of selecting the right version. SQL Server 2005 would have installed .NET 2.0, and it wouldn't surprise me if it just arbitrarily decided to change IIS for you. Good luck, Tim

Re: Linking a button column to an aspx page with a parameter that is not in the datagrid.
You say that your query works in query analyzer but not in your application? Are you using a TRY / CATCH when running your query from the application? Are you getting an error from SQL that you are not seeing? Make sure you have CATCH ex as exception and step through the code to see if it's getting caught. Let us know what you find. Tim

Re: Learn writing class files and associate them to webforms in ASP.NET(vb)
Hi mate, You can use .vb files for any sort of common code that is used often in your site / application. It sounds to me as though you need to read up on CLASS / OO design in VB.NET. It's a huge subject, but you should be able to get to grips with it quite quickly. I can really recommend www.learnvisualstudio.net for some videos to get you started. good luck, Tim

Re: Friends a Problem 4 U
Dude, It sounds like the answer is in your first line of the error - it appears you are referring to a column "ID" which doesn't exist in the table you are querying - the SQL statement indicates the parameter is called "@catid" - is the column in the db called the same thing? My guess is that you are binding this using to templated datagrid (or similar) and you have specified the column to be displayed as "ID" - maybe it's been changed since? Good luck, Tim
