  • Re: Move to MSSQL

New Installation? Works exactly the same way. Existing Installation? Backup exising database, restore to new SQL Server. Change Web.config to point to new server.

  • Re: Inventory Module used on Arlen Ness site?

Ron, What makes you think it's from DynamicDealer? I couldn't find it on their site anywhere. It looks like they don't just sell modules anyway if it is from them :( Yeah, I've looked at using XMod, it's just I've never used it before and didn't really want to go through the learning curve, it's a small project and that'll up the expense quite a bit in terms of things I have to buy and time spent. But it's looking more and more like I have to go that way. Thanks for the help, don't suppose anyone

  • Re: Do Large and Prominent DNN Sites Exist?

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Showcase/tabid/541/Default.aspx I was impressed that Alienware was using DNN, even if it is only in Australia :p

  • Re: Install failure - DNN's logic is hosed from the core. BOOO bad install logic!

Fix your connection string and everything should work fine.

  • Re: The DotNetNuke experience is a disaster.

Yes, with 150,000+ registered users on DotNetNuke.com it is a terrible product that won't even in stall or run. Flee now, flee for your life! Sean p.s. DotNetNuke is not very new person friendly, I feel that it is a short coming. But with DotNetNuke, you get what you put into it. You put in 4 hours, you got nothing, have a nice life :-) p.s.s. Instead of whining like this, you could simply have posted issues. I'll have you know that I can download, install, and get a DotNetNuke site up and running

  • Re: Navigation on 2003 server

After a little thought, I decided I didn't need any help. Working around the features of DNN, I was able to bypass the log error. Direct file download: http://www.webstone.com/portals/0/DotNetNuke%202.1.2%20SolPartMenu%20Patch.zip Oh, and it fixed all my problems. So obviously it is a problem with DNN or this version of SolPart to be exact.

aaava wrote: We have a 2.1.2, a 3.0.13, and a 3.1 DNN installation all on our W2K3 server, using the version of IE that comes w/2003 (6.5), and have never had this issue arise w/any version. We *have* had other issues, like in 3.0.13 I had to place containers in the 0/Containers folder, but that weird issue went away w/3.1. So this is definitelly not a DNN issue, IMO. I think it's important to check for multiple browsers to ensure it is in fact a DNN issue first...it's what I do. Helps a lot Well
