  • Any significant changes from PDC bits to Beta 1?

Hi, First of all I would like to thank you everyone in the ASP.NET "Whidbey" team. You guys have done an amazing job!!! After I’ve been working with "Whidbey" PDC bits, I really hate going back and using 1.1 at work now. LOL I cannot wait until the Beta release. :-D Back to my question, I do not know if it is way too early to ask you this. But can you tell us about any “significant” changes from PDC bits to Beta 1 (in both Framework and ASP.NET)? Just to let us who are playing

  • Add reference from Class Library to Web Project doesn't work??

Hi, All I am having a problem adding "project" reference to web project in Visual Studio.NET "Whidbey". It just doesn't let me do that for some reason. I, however, can add "Assembly" reference to it, but if I recompile it, it won't effect in the web project unless I delete and add it again. Anyone can help me with this? Thank you, Anusidh

  • Re: Creating Typed-DataSet from Whidbey (PDC bits)

Well, I found the way to work around it. I created the Typed-DataSet in VS.NET 2003 ;) (I know i cheated! but it works) and dropped the XSD file in the "Code" folder. The XSS file is automatically generated. It is an XML file and it seems to describe the layout of the diagram. I wrote a very simple code to bind data to GridView control using the Typed-DataSet in the "Code" folder. It works! :-D If anyone know a better way to do this, please please please let me know. Thank you

  • Creating Typed-DataSet from Whidbey (PDC bits)

Hi, How can I create typed-dataset inside Whidbey? I cannot find the "drag-and-drop" way to do it like VS.NET 2003. There is no icon "DataSet" in the "Add New Item". Does this mean that I have to create schema manually and used XSD.EXE command-line? Is there a work around? Because, the drag-and-drop saves so much time and less error. Thank you, Anusidh

  • Re: turn on the code-behind?? not code-beside :(

Hi, Brian Thank you, that's work!! Another question for you. What is happen to the Auto Generated Code for Web Form??? Base on the info. I read. They said they "hide" it for simplicity of development. However, what if I wanna see what is generate under the hood? Is there any option to turn on or the place to look? Documentations in the MSDN library for Whidbey doesn't really give out much information. :( Thank you, Anusidh

  • turn on the code-behind?? not code-beside :(

Hi, All Can anyone please tell me how to enable, or turn-on the code-behind in Whidbey (PDC bits)? The default option is to use "Code-beside" (inline code) and I don't really like it. I have looked everywhere in IDE. Thank you in advance,
