  • Re: Module that displays a list of files in a folder

Take a look at the File Manager Pro Module. I use this to list, and allow download, and in some cases allow upload of various file types, over multiple folders on a separate file server. I have been using is for about two years and it works great. After you intall the module, you can point it to the location of your files without uploading. You can add the module again, on another page, and point to a different folder of files also and secure it separately such as for another set of users. You can

I would be happy to help in testing. I can put up portal dedicated to it if desired (DNN3 and/or DNN4). Just say when.

  • Re: Creating orphaned pages?

Continued from previous post.... I forgot the part about breadcrumbs.... You can remove breadcrumbs from the skin, or set a special skin on these pages without breadcrumbs, but the URL will show the path anyway. If you do not want to remove breadcrumbs from the skin, you can still hide the name of the page from the breadcrumb (for the "articles" page in the previous post). You can hide the name of the page from the breadcrumb by putting an html tag around the name. For example, name the page "<articles>

  • Re: Creating orphaned pages?

Instead of using the hidden option, I created a page on the main menu that could only be viewed by the admin / power user. For example, I call this page "Articles". Users do not see this on the menu bar. I then add pages under this page as sub-menu items, but on these following pages, I grant acces to all users for view. This way, I can link to the page from any page on the site, but the pages are not visibile through the standard menu. This also makes it easier to manage and edit pages as the admin

  • Re: New Custom Forms Module - In Design...add your input

Chris, It sounds interesting. Not being a developer myself, I have been looking at, and have worked with various forms modules, trying to get to some solutions. Some modules are difficult (for me) to build with. Though very flexible and powerful, they require a level of developer skills I struggle with. Some forms modules are very good for basic forms, submit and forget, but would like more. Having a form that writes to tables is a big plus, but I can understand that this might be a struggle if the

  • Re: Incorrect syntax near 'GO'

I am only guessing, but I ran into this type of error a year or two back. I went to the line item in the SQL and put the "GO" command on a new line, separate from the other statement. It worked for me, but I also found it in a few more placed in the same file.
