  thanks, i did set the httpget attribute. but then, how can i set the parameter inside the get-request? e.g. id=1 .../customerservice.asmx/JS .... ???

  i had the same problem with ajax-toolkit and cascadingdropdown-extender (which is calling a local webservice). --> WebService call failed: 500 as soon as i deleted the attribute enableBrowserAccess="true" inside <webservice>-section, everything worked as expected. !?

• WebServices call from Client Script - Parameters and HTTPGet

  I updated my ajax-samples to rc1. so I played with calling webservices from client script. Is it possible to call a webservice method (inlcuding parameters) directly via an httpget? This is working well to get the client-proxy: .../customerservice.asmx/JS Now, I'd like to call the method GetCustomer with the Parameter id=1. Is there way to do this directly via httpget?

  Re-Hi Still trying to get my samples up and running after rc update. :-) I did demonstration of AutoComplete Feature in 3 ways (AutoCompleteExtender, AutoCompleteBehavior via JavaScript, AutoComplete via XMLScript). AutoCompleteExtender works well. AutoCompleteBehavior via JavaScript, AutoComplete via XMLScript are no more in AJAX Core, they are in CTP Can somebody give me a hint (or a hand) howto make my simple demos up and running on the basis of the CTP? - Couldn't find any documentation.   Hi Jasson Still doesn't work for me. I'm working with AJAX RC 1.0 (latest bits) and my OS is VISTA (so IIS 7). It's a developer machine, so I'm working inside VS.NET 2005 SP1 and I use the internal WebServer from VS. I did all the configuration work you said, but no success. All samples return "sys is undefined..."

• Detecting User Language from JavaScript

  hi there i'm searching for a way to get the user languages from the browser (internet explorer and firefox) within javascript. and not just the first language choice, i'd like all of them, so that i'm able to programm a fallback-mechanism when the first language of choice is not supported but the second is. (i'm taking about the languages set by the user under "internet options" - "languages" inside ie, and more or less the same way for firefox). i did some testing but didn't succeed: navigator.language

• ValidatorCallout - HowTo extend a whole WebApp easily

  ValidatorCallout - cool stuff. But how can I use this control thru a large WebApp without manually extending all pages with several of this controls? Is it possible to do this in one central place, e.g. web.config or at least in a basepage (e.g. mypage: System.Web.UI.Page), where I override an load event and dynamically ad ValidatorCallout and set the props?
