  • Re: Anyone know of good DNN Hosting?

If you are just concered about low cost and don't care about insanely long load times and a support staff who's standard answer is 'it looks good on our end'. Then go for webhost4life. I have been moving everything I have off their servers and on to websecurestores.com. Ton's happier. Those guys all run DNN sites and know how to fix things. A lot of people are moving away from WH4L, and to other solutions like websecurestores, and I have heard good things about maximumasp as well.

  • Your favorite DNN Christmas Carols

Just to bring a little holiday cheer to the core team, here's a few of my favorite DNN carols, feel free to add your own. ---------- On the first day of Christmas the core team gave to me, another public beta of DNN version 3. On the second day of Chirstmas the core team gave to me, two bug fixes, and another public beta of DNN version 3. On the third day of Christmas the core team gave to me, 30,000 more line of code two more bug fixes, and a release date for DNN 3. ;) ---------- or one about everyone

A tool to do this in C# would be really helpful.

  • Re: DiscountASP.NET and the app pool

I got site with DiscountASP and with WH4L and at least I can access my DiscountASP pages in the middle of the day, sure I can barely log in log enough to do anything, but at least it loads up. I'm ditching them both for WebSecureStores, but I'd like to get this worked out ASAP, and then worry about moving. Any luck tracking down memory issues?

  • DiscountASP.NET and the app pool

Can someone throw these guys a bone? My app pool is recycling every couple of minutes and thus logging everyone out. Their response is: -------------------------- Dear Gabe, The 100MB memory usage limit for web applications had always been implemented. We are currently testing DNN and memory usage. From our initial testing, DNN just has too much memory overhead. We will let you know of our findings. • Re: DNN Site Error

Is it every page on the site, or just the opening page. Sometimes, like when I changed the portal alias and misspelled it, I can't get to the opening page but I can get to an inside page that I booked marked or had in my history. If its just some pages then it could be a module (but it doesn't look like it), and if its only this portal then its obviously not a hosting issue. If its an issue of site settings, then you can always log-in a host and then go host>portals>edit portal settings of

  • Re: which hoster?

I am moving away from the semi-dedicated advanved plan with WebHost4Life. All my DNN sites come to a crawl in the middle of day. And they don't know why, cause it looks fine from their end. ;) The websecurestores deal is looking really good right now.
