    3) Login - authentication system The new versions of DNN will do this. Enable forms authentication, but in the admin Authentication section select that you will used AD and enter your domain and credentials. You will have to play with the file permissions a bit to get it to work, but with DNN 3.3 it has worked very well. See this post for more details .

  • Re: Ajax Admin Pages & Modules

Can you post some details on how this module is configured? I installed it on a local test box and created a top level page for it, but the module does not show any of the left side navigation like the example on your web site. Thanks.

  • Please help me with AD setup.

I have had AD setup in a DNN 3.0.1 for a while and woking well. DNN authenticates against AD and users are automatically registered. Now I'm trying to setup a new instance of DNN 3.2.2 and having some issues I have never seen before. If I try to use forms authentication with AD it errors when the site first loads stating that the WindowsSignin file should not have annonymous access. If I set this in so that Domain users have access then it prompts me for domain credentials with the windows box before

  • Re: Using DNN for IT Change Management?

I had the same feelings. The company I work for has been working on this DB for 3 years now and the demo was far from complete and was also very basic. There are multiple business levels, security, hardware, software, contacts, network, and incident. All of them have a some type of change process associated with them, but currently there are separate tools used to manage each piece. I would love to combine all of this on a small scale for at least one business. At least combine all of the data into

  • Using DNN for IT Change Management?

I previewed a Change Management DB solution yesterday and it got me thinking. Has anyone ever attempted to use the DNN framework to host a complete IT Change Management solution? If so I would love to hear your experiences, tips, techniques, modules used to build the solution, etc.. It seems like a monumental task combining all of the information needed to host such a repository, then assigning proper permissions for data entry, approvals, etc... Sounded like a neat idea though. Thanks.

  • Re: Moving .NET apps into DNN portal subdirectory

(realy, i could teach a novice how to build a custom module in about 20 minutes) Please share your knowledge.. I have been placing 3rd party .net apps in separate virtual folders just to get around this problem. Do you have a website where you could post the instructions? Maybe email? Thanks.

  • Re: Meet DotNetPanel โ€“ the Hosting Management Portal based on DotNetNuke!

Very nice, and much needed addition to the DNN community. Where is the documentation for DotNetPanel(user, owner, operations manual)? I scanned your website but did not see any downloads for documentation. Thanks.

  • Re: Second portal in local machine

Can you be a bit more specific by what you mean by second portal. Is this a second DNN portal installation, or a child portal from a DNN root installation? If this is your first installation, this error usually indicates that you do not have the .aspx file type associated within IIS as a default page type.
