Re: Personalize option on profile for "preferred language"
If this already exists... can somehow clue me in?
The option does not exist to specify your preferred programming language, which is why the data access tutorials cannot know which version you would prefer to see. However, I don't think it should be too hard to use a cookie to record whether you last looked at a C# or a VB tutorial, and show you the same version when you next return to the data access tutorials. When I find time, I'll update

Re: Missing Tutorial Files
That's strange because when I downloaded the videos ... several videos were accompanied with code.
Okay, Kris was right and I was wrong. Three of the SQL videos did indeed have code downloads available, and these have been added to the video pages. Manipulating Database Data links to video5.msi and Understanding Security and Network Connectivity and Connecting your Web Application to SQL Server 2005 Express Edition both link to videos7and8code.msi Thanks, Kris

Re: Missing Tutorial Files
That's strange because when I downloaded the videos, still have to find time to actually view them, several videos were accompanied with code. I downloaded these files: video5.msi videos7and8code.msi back then.
I have downloaded videos 5, 7, and 8, but they did not contain any .msi files--they contained only the .wmv videos. I have even gone back to the source of these videos, and they did not come with code fles. If the .msi files that you have are not too

Re: Missing Tutorial Files
I was wondering if the tutorial files associated with the SQL Server [videos] exist somewhere on this site.
Unfortunately these SQL Server videos do not have any accompanying code downloads. Sorry, but you will not find any code downloads for these videos anywhere on this web site.

Re: Submit Article Form broken
Hi Peter, Can you please try again to use the "Submit an Article" form? If it still fails, can you please let me know whether you receive a browser message ("This page cannot be displayed"), an IIS message, an unhandled exception message, or a friendly error message? Also, if it fails, can you visit the www.asp.net home page and tell me whether, at the top right of the screen, you are shown as being logged in? Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Article of the Day - Glitches?
Is there an error with the system, or is this by design?
It was by design. You are right that, by default, we publish one article per day. There is one exception: when Scott Mitchell has published new tutorials to his Data Access Tutorials series. These tutorials are very popular and we'd like as many people as possible to be aware of his new tutorials. Say that he publishes five tutorials on a Friday (which occurred last week). We then forcibly add one
