Re: About DNN resource sites and individual efforts.
Well, I can sadly say so far I have received only one PM reply to my added post on this subject. It seems to me that these forums have become the enemy of DotNetNuke. I remember a time when it was almost a race to answer users new posts and yet now new questions or replies get buried over so fast you don't even know they were there at all. It's pretty clear nobody bothers to take time to search for an answers or the new versions require more and more help, I don't know which way to vote. I believe

Re: About DNN resource sites and individual efforts.
Well I see this topic still has the same thoughts and issues it has always had. I thought at one time DotNetNuke was supposed to be adding their own FAQ section which is why I quit trying to beg and plea for people to help contribute information to the DNNFAQ site. I know the site is outdated but I have not had nor taken the extra time to keep it going for reasons stated already. The fate of DNNFAQ is uncertain as it is once again nearing time to renew and I am torn between what I should do. I have

Re: Navigation on 2003 server
I have had Win 2003 Server running since it's release (actually before but that doesn't matter) and I have never had anyproblems with the menu with either DNN 1.X or 2.X versions. I have not played with version 3 yet as I have been busy building a new office/database program and getting things setup for our new office location at work (phone system, server,T1,Firewall, network and so on) and we are set to transfer in a week. If I was to take a guess it is most likley a security setting causing the

Re: Big Problems with WebHost4Life - Getting Mad!
Chris, Your not alone...I have had a couple little problems here and there but have had great response from tech support. I haven't seen any problems with my sites at WH4L and have not had emails asking why a site is down over the past year. Everyone else... If you are having lots of problems with a site maybe you should take a good look at the site and in the case of DNN at what modules, skins and mods you are running. The problem might be your site itself. I know WH4L is not perfect and NO host

Re: Good web hosts for DNN?
Are you sure the problem is WH4L's servers? I switched to WebHost4Life from TS a year ago and I have not seen any down time on my sites? Just thought maybe you are seeing problems of another sort. I know there is no such thing as a perfect host but you must remember there are far more variables involved than just the hosts servers when it come to the internet. They have a large number of servers but for me to see no problems at all and you say you are seeing 20% down time, I find that variance a

Re: FrontPage and DNN don't co-habitate??
my question is: Why doesn't Microsoft .Net code work with Microsoft FrontPage on Microsoft Server 2003? Actually they can exist together. If you open your DNN project on a remote location with Visual Studio you are actually using some of the stuff from FrontPage to do so. I have FrontPage enabled on all my domains running DNN except the last one I setup as I forgot to add it and I have not tried to add it on afterwords. My guess is you should set FrontPage first, then set your .NET application and

Re: We are still getting an error when we try to login to one DNN site, open a window, and login to another DNN site on the same server....Help!
I don't think this will be of much help but I wonder if it may have something to do with your virtual directory setup. I have a test server running W2k3 and SQL2k SP3 and I can open six or more DNN sites at the same time without error either from my machine, by remote desktop or directly on the server. I can also do the same with all the sites on my host account. My server is not available to the web because of my ISP otherwise I would let you try it out. I can use http://servername/sitename without

Re: Help Build the Ultimate DNN Support Site
Ken and Tom Lucas, First of all let me say that I am in no way asking people to remove content from their own respective sites to better my own. That choice is up to each individual. If you have information that is still of use and want to remove it then please feel free to send it to me and I will add it to the information I have. I am willing to entertain any and all ideas others may have and will accept all assistance offered. I feel it would be important to keep DNNFAQ alive for the community

Re: Help Build the Ultimate DNN Support Site
I have begged and pleaded for community support to offer up help and information with DNNFAQ since its inception. I have had a few help with answering questions on my forums section and a couple others share content but that has been about it. Seems like everyone starts up their own version instead and we end up splitting the information out thinner and thinner. Then there is the never ending talk of it should be on the original DNN site itself (which has its merit as well) and that they are going
