  • Re: Who's got the fastest DNN Site? Look'n for Speed!!

After some experimentation we found that IIS does improve the performance of ‘aspx’ pages but we had over looked the following ‘Metabase’ setting! After making the changes and resetting IIS there has been a dramatic drop in loading times! Read this article: Enabling ISS Compression in IIS6 The 24DNN.com Support Team http://www.24dnn.com

Have altered the web.config file to a Denmark culture? < globalization culture = " da=DK " uiCulture = " da " requestEncoding = " UTF-8 " responseEncoding = " UTF-8 " fileEncoding = " UTF-8 " /> If we leave the standard setting to en-US in the United Kindgom the time displays the wrong way round! < globalization culture = " en-GB " uiCulture = " en " requestEncoding = " UTF-8 " responseEncoding = " UTF-8 " fileEncoding = " UTF-8 " /> Other than

Windows Server 2003 is NOT configured for website hosting out of the box and some adjustments need to be applied to gain true throughput! Regarding compression our experience has been that using IIS 6 compression actually slows down the serving of ASP.NET pages! We have not tried any third party products but it would be interesting to see if the compression

I’m not sure I understand your question? If you want to configure the User Online Scheduling then you need to login with a Host account. Under the Host tab: Host > Schedule > DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.PurgeUsersOnline, DOTNETNUKE Make sure Entities.Users.PurgeUsersOnline is enabled and then set the schedule as you require. Also make sure that the UserOnline is not set to disabled (default) in your Host Settings. Host > Advanced Settings > Other Settings > “Disable Users Online?” is

  • Re: FTB 2.0 and DNN 2.0

Could somebody explain how they have managed to enable the image gallery support for DNN once switching to FTB 2 as xpdit suggests? The author of FTB 2 states that there is no such built in support yet, until then it seems to be a waste of time trying to use FTB 2. Any suggestions?
