Re: FIX: Operation must use an updateable query error when using Access db
Thanks, David... adding the Users group to that folder and giving them Full Control worked for me as well! I could not get any of the other suggestions to work. My only guess is that a MS security patch changed how the permissions work. Bachino wrote: My discovery (right or wrong) a year or two ago was that the IIS user account was part of the Windows "Users" group. I decided to give the Users group full rights to the database as well and I've never had another problem since.

Re: New Free Module - Codegalaxy FreeForm
There is only one input field, the others are hidden fields that FedEx uses. I should be able to type any number in the textbox and the FedEx site will either track it or tell me the number is invalid. This isn't a necessity for me and I know you're busy, so no need for you to put a huge effort into troubleshooting it. I mostly posted it in case others were running into trouble as well, or if someone had a simple solution they could post to help me out.

Re: New Free Module - Codegalaxy FreeForm
I was hoping to use this module to create a small "Track FedEx" form on our Intranet, but I had the same results as above... a blank button that didn't submit. I pasted all of the form code not including the <form></form> tags. I tried it with and without the button. This is the form I was using: <form name="tracking" action="/Tracking" method="get"> <input type="hidden" name="ascend_header" value="1"> <input type="hidden" name="clienttype" value="dotcom"> <input

Re: *** New FREE module *** LinksByCategory : lists of links grouped by categories
This is a great module! I've been needing something like this for a long time. I noticed that the Export Content link is available in the menu but I get "The module specified does not support the exporting of content" when I try to use it. I was hoping to automate the import of a bunch of links, but NBD. Is it possible to have the module show the description of all links, instead of the "..." ? Also, do you know if this module is searchable? Thanks for making this module available!

Re: Looking for Document/File Manager Module
I use Speerio's File Manager Pro on our Intranet and Extranet, and it suits our needs perfectly. There is full editable metadata for each file, and multiple viewing options, plus lots of extras that can be turned on if needed. Nik has some nice features planned for the upcoming versions, too! The price is dirt cheap for what it does. Try the demos on his site and see if you like it.

Re: Contact Module
Rajesh: Instead of modifying the built-in Contacts module (and thereby modifying the core), you might want to consider using the built-in User-Defined Table, which can be configured with any number of fields. You could also use a module like XMod to create your own module, complete with input forms and custom view layouts. Good luck! -=Glen

Re: Recipe module - goes open source
I believe there is a relatively standard recipe database format called MealMaster. It would be great if this module could import one or more recipes that are already in that format. I know there are thousands of MealMaster recipes available out there on the 'Net and on cooking CD's

Re: Creating a module using notepad for DNN3
I have been waiting for a tutorial like this for a long time! This is perfect for people like me that just dabble in programming and need a quick and dirty way of throwing together a simple module. It should give a lot of people a foundation to build on for more complicated modules. Thank you very much for writing this!

Re: Weather module
I had some really good luck with the Weather Channel Module. It comes with a template you can customize to put the data where you want. I was able to get it to give me a nice horizontal bar with a 9-day extended forecast.

Re: Timeout expired problem
I had this same problem with my DNN2.1.2. I added the "Connect Timeout=30" to my connection string to let me back into the portal. It turns out I had accidentally disabled the "Purge Online Users" in the Scheduler, which I think must have caused the problem. Hopefully this helps someone.
