  I just realised that i could "merge" the User and the UserData tabels with EF but i still kind of wonder if it is possible to do this if you for example have an collection or something ..

• Update data from diffrent tables with UpdateModel

  I can't find any info on this anywhere so i guess i have to ask. I have read Scott Gu's great posts on Preview 5 and the Beta. He shows the ModelBinder and UpdateModel. I have a datamodell where i have a User tabel and then a UserData tabel with some additional data and i can't figure out how to use the UpdateModel to update stuff from two diffrent tables. As you see i have two actions and it works fine for email and nick but how do i map the "userlevel" stuff to "UserData

• Return 404 that Google understand

  I have a page where i sometimes remove stuff from the database and therefore also pages that google has in it's index. Say http://mysite.com/user/userpage.aspx?userid=12345 If i remove the user with userid 12345 i want to return a 404 page that says "Page not found" so that the page is removed from the index. I could of course just return something like "The user is not found" but i guess Google would appriciate if i return a 404. Anyone have any tip how to do this?

• Select and update data in the forms authentication cookie on autologin

  I have a website where i use forms authentication. I have code in the Application_AuthenticateRequest method in global.asax where i validate the cookie and set a custom "UserPrincipal". When a user logons as usual everything works fine and the cookie is persistent and so on. The problem i have is that i need to update "latest login date" on the user when the person logs in. I also need to check if the user has been banned from the site for whatever reason. I have tried to add

• Performance problem debugging application in VS 2008 (and VS 2005 sort of)

  Since we installed VS 2008 RTM on our machines we have noticed that debugging the project has become really slow. When we do a F5 debug it takes minutes before the page show up in the browser. The strange thing is that it seems to be slow on all machines that has VS 2008 installed. If I open the exact same solution (with different sln file) on a machine that has never seen VS 2008 it is much faster.   I have the same issue that VS says "The class or CssClass value is not defined.". I do use stylesheetTheme and so on .. seems like some of the rules is not picking up or something. If i use the "rules used on this page" they are not there either. /Ola

  Maybe i was unclear.. If you go to the page you posted (http://ajax.asp.net/ajaxtoolkit/ModalPopup/ModalPopup.aspx), make your browser really really small so that the modaldialog has a higher height than the your browser is high and then click up the dialog, see my point?

  The problem is that if a user has low resoulution and a couple of toolbars or something the popup is centered and the "DragPanel" gets hidden so the user can't drag the popup either :/ The best would be if the "page" scrollbar could be used to scroll the page and the popup is fixed at it's position just like a normal <div> .. • Disable centering script in modalpopup

  Is it possible to disable so that the modalpopup does not keep centered when you scroll the page? We have some user with really low resolutions and the centering script makes it impossible to see the whole popup. if this is not possible i guess i have to modify the source or something?
