  • problem with email password on admin login

Why does the login page link to http://asp.net/Forums/User/EmailForgottenPassword.aspx?tabindex=1 for people who want to have their email sent to them? I have looked for this file everywhere to fix the link but cannot find it in the .95 release files. I did a search on the forums without any luck so either I am the only one that noticed this or I am misunderstanding something.

  • Re: Logout broken (0.95)

You need version 104 for the Dottext.web.admin.dll file that is posted somewhere on the forums. This version fixes this.

  • I'm confused about setting access connectionstring....

Could someone explain what I am supposed to do to use access. In the readme file it says - change connectionstring settings in web.config to match your system ( look at config.xml in /Providers/AccessDataProvider folder ) This is very unclear to me...how can I create a connectionstring to a database that doesn't exist. I dont' know what or where I am supposed to change. There are 2 places I see access information...and do I have to remove the sqlserver stuff?? Could someone post a webconfig file

  • Re: getting 404 error

Thanks for you suggestion but I tried all 4 different config files...nothing worked. I also don't have access to the server because I am working with shared hosting so I didn't add that mapping but I cannot control what happens on the server. I gave up. I am sure it is the HttpHandlers part but since I got it to work on the same shared server without and weird modifications...I cannot understand why it wouldn't work with a fresh database and website. It shouldn't be this complicated....and judging

  • Re: getting 404 error

Well I just started a new database and new website and did everything the same way as the one setup that works (single blog). Now I get the community page and the admin doesn't work. Obviously there are steps I am missing but I have done everything that I know I am supposed to do. This is way too complicated.

  • getting 404 error

I have 2 web sites and one database. On the first website I put .Text in the root of the web and added the blog to the database...everything is working perfectly. Then, I copied all these files to my second website but put it into a folder named "journal". I created this as a IIS application. I added the blog to the database but with the application name = "journal". Then I replaced the web.config file to be the second single website config file and modified the connection string

  • trying to open with visual studio and get error.

I am trying to open the source of .95 and it tells me that the solution is not a valid solution. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong. I even tried putting it on a webserver and connecting through fp ext. and when it connects to the server it cannot see the solution file so something weird is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Re: Disable emailing of comments

OK well I guess it is good to know that I cannot turn this off. I searched everywhere in the admin for a checkbox to turn off receiving those emails. I will await the .96 release then...although I don't know what an entry handler is. Whatever can be done to allow the admin/owner of the blog to turn this off would be nice.

  • Disable emailing of comments

Is there are way. It gets pretty annoying receiving all those emails. I'd rather read them online
