• Basic Problem with Formview Edit Template

  When I drop a formview on a page, configure it to a datasource and then select edit template, the lables and fields are all scrunched together. In the past they use to be formated in a table with each field in a table cell. I tried to manually add a table, but the form field will not snap into a cell of the new table created. Is there a setting that I have off or can anyone give me a recommendation? Any help is appreciated.

  Someone helped me with this code below except that the dropdownbox doesnt sort ascending. I am thinking that it is in the line BaseClasses.Data.SqlBuilderSortOrder orderBy = null; I tried changing it to BaseClasses.Data.SqlBuilderSortOrder orderBy = (true,true) but it fails. • Add New Detailview Help

  Setting up a employee grid master and detail sheet. Everything works. Now I want to set up a new page that opens a blank detailsview for a new employee. I do not want to use the add button from a detail screen, I want a blank screen. How do I set the detailview via hyperlink from the master to go to a new record on a page called employeenew.aspx and automatically populate the key in the key field? • Same Password Issue - Will Not Take

  Come on how are the beginners going to learn when something as simple as this causes a delay. Whats up here I have tried all kinds of passwords and it will not create a user. All I get is "Please enter a different password."

• Login Help Plz

  OK, I'm done, one of you experts need to help because I just read the WROX beta book and I am lost. It seems simple but I cannot figure it out or find a solution by searching the web. I want to store a user name and password and a ID number. I need the ID as a session so that I can query my data to show records specific to that user. How do I do it, and explain it like I was a child. I set up the users using the website administration tool and I am able to login uder the user that I added, but where

• Login then Query by ID

  Need help with a parameter query referencing the profile. I want to log someone in and show records based on that person unique key. Heres what I have done. Set up a login page, set up the configuration using the Website administration tool. Set login.aspx to go to default.aspx on success. This works fine with the user name and password I set up. Set up a profile called PlanKey. I edited the database ASPPNETdb.mdb then aspnet_Profile table so that the profile references the UserID, added PlanKey

• Role Security Question

  I am setting up an employee database for multiple employers. My question is in regards to security and roles. Each company's HR director will log in and view the data for that specific company. Right now everything is in an access database and the company's key field is a single numeric value. For example: ABC Company is key 1 FDR Company is key 2 And so on. How would I set up roles? Do I set up a separate role for each company and assign the role the key value. Sorry I am a newbie to asp.net but
