Re: Design of large business objects
rsmoke21: I checked out the XPO from DevExpress and it looks great. I have used other DevExpress products that are all first class in my mind. My high-level take on the tool is that is looks like it takes a set of BOs and takes care of the DA layer and creates the tables which can be a big timesaver. However, I tend to think database and table structures first, can this or another tool that you know of take a set of database tables and create the DA and BO code along with SPs?

What menu module are you using? The sites looks good, however I think the mohemtcommunity inactive menu items looks like they're disabled.

Re: Web Service Logging To File Problem (file in use)
We tried the straight StreamWriter initially and it caused the same problem. How busy was this web service it worked on? We're trying to call our webservice about 200 times within a minute using async calls.

Re: Web Service Logging To File Problem (file in use)
We tried .flush() and it didn't make any difference. Thanks for the reply.

Web Service Logging To File Problem (file in use)
I have a web service that does a bunch of processing and when complete I would like it to write to a text file log in IsolatedStorage. I'm using the FileStream and StreamWriter and am getting the following error periodically: The process cannot access the file "C\inetpub\wwwroot\serv\IsolatedStorage\RequestLog.txt" because it is being used by another process. The code looks like this: Dim fStreamWriter As StreamWriter Dim fsFile As FileStream fsFile = New FileStream(ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings

Re: Cannot Log In To DNN 3.0.13
I'm able to login using the medium settings in IE. First party cookies must be accepted for authentication.

Re: Cannot Log In To DNN 3.0.13
Resolved! Here's what I did. Removed .Net Framework, Removed IIS, Reinstalled IIS ReInstalled .Net Framework. Curious how setting the skins could cause this type of catastrophic problem. Very strage behavior indeed. Cheer and thank you all for your support!

portvista wrote: It has to be cookies, because that's how Forms Authentication works. These are the EXACT symptoms of improper handling of .NET authentication via save cookie method. When you allow a user to login via cookie, you still must actually log the user in and assign the user id with the correct permissions for that session. If you don't, this is exactly what happens! I don't know how eactly DNN is screwing this up, but I have to clear my cookies occassionally -- I just hope it doesn't do
