  • Re: New release of DNN AIS-EC ECommerce modules

Options are categories to hold values. Like if you were selling a sweater you might have two POC's (product option categories) like Size and Color. To get dropdowns, for each you need to create POI's (product option items), like S M L XL XXL for Size. Does that help?

  • Re: My DNN AIS-EC ECommerce modules installation steps

Hey Brian. It shouldn't error as host or a user. Are you doing a setup for the US? I know we have some internationalization (read: anything other than US) issues. Also, not long ago another version went out at http://www.activeinetservices.net that fixes some miscellaneous bugs. If you get a stacktrace *with* debug symbols, send it to sean at activeinetservices . com and I'll be happy to take a look.

They are one in the same. The e-commerce system only builds on top of existing accounts, and creates new ones as necessary, but nothing any different from the DNN accounts.

    1. Inventory management is an up-and-coming feature, but it may be several more versions away before we get to the point of beefing that up. Foremost on our radar is overall fixes to make installation and the user interface more smooth. 2. Gift certificates are definitely a hot item -- feel free to file a feature request on our SourceForge project so I don't lose it in the shuffle. -Sean

Hey there, I'm sorry you're experiencing problems with the modules. Truthfully the beta-testing route has been disenchanting on our end because we're trying to wrap fully-functional modules on our end into something others can deploy, but each prerelease gets very little or no response from individuals signed up as beta testers, so if that group is silent, we can only assume things are okay for a release to a wider audience. Installation issues are a top priority for us at the moment... this will

Hmm, to my knowledge HttpContext.Current should never be null. Do you have any modifications to your Web.Config file from the stock DNN configuration that might be affecting how ASP.NET handles session state?

Gabe, Could you try commenting out all the code in the GetLocalIP() function or simply commenting out the line in ReportProblem that calls it? For some very weird reason, a few people are getting these security errors when this function tries to find the hosting machine's local IP address. It looks like there's still some issue because it's trying to report a problem... but this should help you get a bit further. Note in the ReportProblem() method that it e-mails *me*. Please change this to your

Did you copy the .DLL's in ECommerce/bin to DNN/bin?
