Re: Duplicate Email Addresses [DNN 4]
midspot wrote: actually this option has been around for awhile now. check your web.config for more info... From my change log... "In DNN Web.config changed requiresUniqueEmail to true for DNNSQLMembershipProvider key. The registration page now displays a message asking the user to login using the existing username for the email address (username not displayed)." Thanks midspot!

Duplicate Email Addresses [DNN 4]
I'm currently checking my memberships for duplicate email addresses - this is manual work I could do without. Will the next version of DNN provide an option for disallowing multiple user accounts with the same email address?

Re: DotNetNuke Community Forums

Personally, I will not miss the old content once I migrate to a new DNN version if all of the posts about the new version are made on the new forums. So long as the old content is still around for reference on the rare occurence I need to refer to information about a previous DNN version I will be more than satisfied. I guess if the move/locking were to occur in synch

Re: Two separate forums for the Commerce Starter Kit?
...yet there are posts here about the ASP.NET 2.0 version, funny how people can't read other people's minds like that.

Two separate forums for the Commerce Starter Kit?
I have just noticed that there are two complete forums for the Commerce Starter Kit, including this one on the Microsoft ASP.NET Forums and the one located at: http://forums.commercestarterkit.org/forums/ I assume that the later is intended to be the preferred source of information. Perhaps there should be a pinned post here to explain that? I wouldn't like to see potential CSK community members being fragmented between two forums and/or threads containing valuable info being linked back and forth

Remember Login option - default length of time?
Previously my DNN 3 site would keep me logged in indefinately (seemingly). I have now installed a 4.0.2 site and this option doesn't seem to maintain the login beyond an hour or two (maybe less?). What has changed? I would like the login to persist for much longer.

Re: Migrating Users Data Only
I always enjoy it when I get a chance to give a little back to this community (I can't afford the shirt so this will have to do): I have just finished importing all of my DNN 3.1.1 users and roles into DNN 4.0.2. The process I used follows, but let me say upfront that I'm sharing this information with no warranties or guarantees whatsoever. If this makes sense to you and you are confident about checking it over for potential problems with respect to your particular situation give it a go and be sure

Re: Could not find file SiteUrls.config
FYI, I also had this problem (4.0.2). When I installed without the InstallationDate appSetting this didn't happen. But I wanted my old decryption and validation keys so I reinstalled with the InstallationDate set to preserve them. This problem then happened (fixed thanks to your post). Perhaps a check could be done in this case (I believe an actual upgrade would already have a SiteUrls.config in the root as opposed to a new install preserving the keys).
